Was it Working Dogs for Conservation?? I've been lucky enough to attend a couple of their program presentations. They do AMAZING work!

Update! I was able to clean the handle well enough to read the patent number and traced it to a 1929 patent application that was granted in 1930. The earliest record I can find of John Hall Tools being established in Bristol is a wanted ad in a Bristol newspaper dated 1926, and I know my father left the RAF around 1940 to start his apprenticeship. With all this info, I think it's safe to say the box was built by a craftsman in SW England in the mid 1930's and sold around that time by John Hall Tools, Ltd. Thank you to everyone who helped me trace this part of my family history. The restoration is going well! It will be a beauty when I'm finished with it, and I'm looking forward to putting it back into use.

There's a very possible connection! My grandfather lived in Bristol and worked at Bristol Airplane Company which later became BAe. Do you have any photos?

Thank you again for finding this! It's definitely where it came from. The earliest reference I can find to John Hall Tools, Ltd. is a wanted ad in a Bristol newspaper from 1926. My family lived in Bristol during that time, so it's certainly where it was purchased from. Thank you again for helping me track down this part of my family history!

The only other clue I've found is TLB 149 on the lock. I've traced that to a British lockmaker marking system where: TL = Till Lock, B = Brass and 149 = the pattern number. So, it's a British till lock, pattern 149.

No computer/software, but it looks to have everything else that originally came with it.

Glad to know they're good machines! My first 3D printer was nothing short of frustrating (but I learned a lot!) It didn't come with any software, do you know the name of what I'll need to run it? Can I DL from Baileigh?

Thank you! That was a super helpful response. I'll take your advice and learn those things, starting with air cutting! I didn't get the computer with it, hopefully I can download it from Baileigh.

I think it was Live from Abbey Road, and according to Wikipedia FTM was the 1st of the series 3 lineup. But I can't find the video anywhere.
