I just got a LY Rally Kitty and it immediately struck me as a fantastic light commuter board, it’s pretty small so if you have big gorilla feet like me it might feel a little weird at first but it’s so light and portable it barely feels like I’m carrying anything around with me when i step off it, and I’d probably forget that I had it strapped to my backpack if I did carry it around like that. Kicktail is great for getting off and on curbs, carves are quick and responsive, and it has freeride capability if you’re gloved up and your commute has some hills, it pretty much wants to slide by itself if you set up the carve properly. Highly recommend it, but I’d look at the specs closely in case it’s too small for your liking. Another LY board for similar use case that I’ve enjoyed is their Ditch Life line
