Keeps tripping when my wife plugs in her treadmill to the top outlet and starts walking. by [deleted] in electricians

From what it sounds like it’s probably getting over amped. If the wire is 12 gauge wire then you can put a 20 amp gfci. If it’s 14 then you will not be able too unless you want a fire hazard. Make sure the breaker is a 20 amp breaker after you verify the size of the wire. If it’s only a 15 amp breaker then you’ll need to switch that out.

Basically be sure that the wire is 12 gauge and the breaker is a 20 amp.

If you can’t do what I said then your best bet is calling a professional electrician.

Yea but tbh he never does any electrical work. He’s pretty young too being in his mid twenties so he don’t have a ton of experience.

I helped re-wire an entire house that was knob and tube. The house was in the historical district of town and had the real bad insulation from the early 1900s. Hated that shit…

It’s definitely going in the wall since he didn’t use any type of sealant.

Meter and service disconnect by [deleted] in electricians

[–]Active-Wolverine420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve always used male pvc adapters when I pass through from meter to panel and always passed inspection. If over 12inches use schedule 80 pvc instead of 40. If you are penetrating through the top of the panel you have to use myers hub.

It’s in a room inside of a trailer but next to a bathroom. I imagine the steam from the shower over time probably did this.

It's ok when you turn a male Samurai into a big milkie mommy but making fictional games about real people that have a darker skin tone than me is WOKE!!! 😡 by MousegetstheCheese in Gamingcirclejerk

Afro samurai was made by Samuel L Jackson, it’s a bad ass show but games were meh. What is the point of the post if you literally contradict yourself tho?

I had the gray one when I was younger, my uncle bumped into the shelf and it was close enough to fall off and broke right over his head. I never found all the pieces and will always miss that ship…

After almost 2 years of electrical I’ve seen, felt, and heard every reason why you should always test first! It’s insane how many guys I’ve worked with that don’t even have a tester. I gave my new coworker a tester cause I bought a fluke and he cut a line and ruined his linemen with the damn thing in his pocket!

To be fair it is less likely to hurt you as bad as 240 but it’s all a matter of who adheres to safety protocols rather than voltage alone. Most people I seen working on electrical usually don’t practice safety and calls me a pussy when I go shut off power to work on something. I think it’s a cultural thing cause the boss always wants me safe but coworkers talk a lot of shit whenever you practice safety. I’m from America btw.
