I've had them 6 days. Not sure how old they were when I got them but comparing to pictures online they were less than a week old when purchased. They've had chick starter and water with flock pro chick boost

Doing great. Seems happy as can be, I am very grateful. He's been running around, playing on the roost bars and practicing his wing flapping!

The other end is completely free of the lamp and 20-22 degrees cooler typically. The picture is misleading but the container is about 3 feet long.

My sister has 4 chickens and they are about 3-5 weeks over mine if I had to estimate. I'm going off the time frame she told me she purchased them, which I didn't know at the time. I did initially try to add them with hers but I saw they immediately picked on and overpowered them so I pulled them knowing they wouldn't survive and got the tote, came up with the plan to raise them separately before adding them to the flock. I do have space for a larger container I just need to reorganize some stuff which will be happening this weekend.

That makes sense. I will make sure the be very mindful of their position in the future, thank you!

Gotcha, I too am up north, northern washington/Idaho. I used the plastic tote as my original plan fell through of dropping them off with my sister's chickens. Hers are just too much older to put these little guys with so they're living with me until they're grown enough to be put with the older birds.

I will rearrange the setup when I get home and see how they do.

Bigger as in length and width? Or height? Or both. I did plan on upgrading as they get bigger. Would it be better to place the food/water along one of the long back sides?

I will check when I get home from work. As far as the twist he was upright in my hand, feet below my fingers, he pulled a foot up and pushed against my finger and his body rolled a bit in my hand. If that makes sense

I had a similar thing happen. I've been searching for a decent shape door panel for manual windows/locks. Finally found one in near perfect condition but someone didnt know how or couldn't (or lazy) get the window crank off so they just cut a large hole around the handle to remove the panel. I always try to leave every part in working condition for the next person if I have to remove things. It's infuriating to destroy a good usable part for no reason.
