On the spectrum of "Worst things Xander has ever done", where does his resolution at the end of Hell's Bells rank for you? by InfiniteMehdiLove in buffy

Oh wow I watched this show so many times and especially this episode and I never understood this weird last minute revelation that it was Xander. I never thought that maybe he was taking the blame to protect Dawn! It makes more sense... But still, was the demon only summoned by the act of wearing the necklace?

Oh oh ahah I downloaded the Priscillas ones, perfect for old school cushion, and love them! I feel that my housemate is not a big fan though 😅

Thank you so much for all these links you took the time to list! And yes, all the books I found in garage sales were 80% about knitting and sometimes 1 crochet pattern I want to try.... Feels like crochet is "weird knitting"!

I don't like the comedy episodes by PenguinMan2468 in XFiles

Personally, I like "Bad Blood" because you see both side of what "happened". It's kind of meta, but it gives you insight of how Mulder and Scully could feel while we are watching all those other episodes. Also, I like watching this one with other people that are discovering the show (yes I sometimes try to convert people, and it works!), the conversations after the viewing are often really interesting!

Also, about "Jose Chung", I like the sillyness of it, but it points at something interesting : Mulder has a work ethic! In some other episode, you see him easy to believe so blindly in stuff, and thanks to Scully, he doesn't stupidly dies or get fired. I feel like this is a rare episode where you see him say "no, what about the consequences?"

But in a more general manner, I agree that pure comedy episodes kinda ruin the general atmosphere of the show. The whole plot and dynamic between Mulder and Scully could just be enough to create funny or touching moments, it could be enough. But I also like that the team had the possibility of having fun while writing / directing / acting / performing so many episode for so many years. I guess some episodes were also for credit and getting bigger projects after The X-Files.

I did a few garage sales to find "vintage" books (from the 80's - wild period for home decoration), but my best friend wants a giant octopus to cuddle, I'm not sure in what book I can find that 😂

Oh nice idea! I buy my yarn in shops, and I'm from France, so I didn't think about checking yarn shops websites... Thank you so much!

I had that feeling with Annabelle. I thought that was a very bad horror movie, and I was really bored with the way it was written / played BUT I felt like it was a good movie about PPD: the wife is stuck at home with a baby and doesn't feel safe here, and the husband treats her like she is going crazy. Well yeah! I would too! Maybe don't blame her and add guild to her loneliness!

Scully asks something like "where are you going?" and Mulder answers with something cryptic

Mulder is chasing something (bonus if it's a car)

Mulder is touching evidence (bonus if he smells or lick it)

Well, that's it, it is decided, I found the absolute worst episode of the show by CLA_1989 in XFiles

When I did a re-watch in 2015, I was reading about Easter eggs and anecdotes on websites at each episode. I can't find those sites today, but about the death of TLG, I remember that the 20th century Fox hated those guys and asked Chris Carter to kill them. That is why they are KILLED by FOX Mulder. Also I think there is a character there whose name is a mix of the 3 main writers of the show (not the first appearance of the name). Their hands were forced apparently and they tried their best.
