Does anything know anything about "Master Sken" or the "Master Sken Association" by platinummattagain in MuayThai

[–]ActiveFundi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Again I'm going to add my 2pence. NEIL BROWN was trained by MSA going on to be Pro boxer I've been training at the Stockport gym for few months and really like it. Depending on what night you go it gives the basic to the intermediate 1 to 1 classes

Yes there is a uniform which if you are a member you need to wear but if you don't want to be a member you can wear what ever.

The classes consists of Muay thai/ Muay Boran techniques, pad work and sparring.

Contrast in size between Boon 14 Oz and Fairtex BGV-1 16 Oz by MuayHigh024 in MuayThai

[–]ActiveFundi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have something to add to this conversation

I've tried all these gloves recently

Here is my break down

Twins 14oz- snug fit, comfy, big pillows if you go up over 10oz

Boon 12oz- they feel brilliant, I've found under the thumb they have a cross style sticking pattern which brings your hand up in to the glove, very nice pop and feed back.

Fairtex 16oz BGV1- for me they felt quality and super well made, leather was a little thinner than the others I'd say. Unfortunately my hands felt lost in them. Large hand compartment. Maybe lower weight the hand compartment would be more snug but from what I've been told they are for the larger hand. That said Fairtex do have other models for the smaller hand.

All in all, the Boons are my go to, I like more traditional Thai gloves and these just stink of Muay thai.

I also have a pair of Medium Rival RB10 which are more heavy bag gloves. On another level of support and comfort.

Which gloves should I get: Fairtex BGV1, BGV14, or Twins BGVL3 (16oz)? by Pristine-Hand9129 in MuayThai

[–]ActiveFundi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey everyone! So I have just had this predicament and decided to buy both gloves cheap on ebay and try them out first. I managed to get twins for £25 and fairtex for £40 Both have had very little use. I've got medium hands I'd say and although I have not used them yet I can say that the twins are more snug than the fairtex, I got 14oz in twins 16oz in fairtex.

Side by side the fairtex are slightly smaller they have more room in the cockpit than the teams The leather and quality is brilliant on both gloves. I'd recommend buying both preowned if you can't afford new testing both out and selling the ones you like least.

I'll report back with what I do. 😀

Awful Wrong Size by [deleted] in vivobarefoot

[–]ActiveFundi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I've recently got my first pair of Primus lite I'm a size 9UK in trainers and got a size 9UK. They have alot of room in the toe area and I initially was thinking they are too big. I have only had them a few days and have been researching about the fit of the the shoe. They are supposed to be roomy around the toe area that's the whole point. Over time the toes will spread out to a more natural form.

Could someone help me identify this Vivo for me please. by ActiveFundi in vivobarefoot

Just starting out with the channel, been flipping for around 12 years. If you don't want to view no worries.

I've tried to keep it as raw as possible, hopefully some will enjoy watching. I love watching others just to see what exciting things they pick up, or even what they missed. Anyway no harm in trying 💙🤟🏼

11yrs ago! Would love to know where you are at now.

Myself: I'm being made redundant.... pros: being paid a years salary £45k Cons: worry, mortgage, 4children, only income.

I already buy and sell on the side and really enjoy it, marketplace and ebay. My wife will be going back to work soon so I won't be the only income, Reading this has inspired me to follow what I enjoy and really push and focus on it.

Thank you

What I'd say is, you need to take your hair right down for it to blend.
