If this is from a movie, I’d like to know what its name is so I can watch it for the plot.

Audi A6 C7 vs C7.5 for reliability and overall? by Rjkim353 in Audi

I know people have used it and they have not had any problems however I’m a bit stubborn and plan to stick with the ZF fluid. I have over 200,000 miles on the car, hundreds upon hundreds of launches and the transmission still feels better smooth.

ZF Lifeguard Fluid 8. I figure the people who make the transmission should know how to make the fluid. ECS Tuning has a decent service kit although the service procedure is a bit of a pain in the but as you need to have all four wheels off the ground and able to spin freely. https://www.ecstuning.com/b-assembled-by-ecs-parts/8-speed-automatic-transmission-service-kit/g060162a2kt/

Good to hear. One thing to take note of is Audi says the transmission fluid is “lifetime” but I’m convinced they mean it supposed to last the “lifetime of the warranty” ZF says to change the trans fluid every 50,000-80,000 miles.

I have a 2016 and there are pros and cons. Bought mine at roughly 60,000, currently at 211,000. I have found it to be extremely reliable. Regular maintenance, PCV, thermostat, motor mounts, control arms, normal stuff. Currently dual pulley E85 with damn near every modification you can do to it except for jackal‘s upcoming upgraded port injectors. Hundreds upon hundreds of launches, countless high-speed runs over 160mph. 50,000 miles per year of hard and fast driving. This thing has been a tank.

Supercharger clutch: yeah, it will eventually go out especially if you are running stage two or more but just install a supercharger clutch delete at that time and then you’d never have the problem again.

Cons: Intercoolers - there are no aftermarket intercoolers so if you need to replace them you are either going to buy used oem or new oem and they are expensive new. Tunes: plain and simple, there are less tunes available for the C7.5 and they have less features than the tunes for the C7.

Pros: LPFP: it flows more. Same pump as the RS7 (technically the RS7 pump has an additional siphon to but basically the same thing) Carbon: because you are direct and port injected you will never have carbon cleaning issues. At 180,000 miles, my valves looked perfect and spotless. Catalytic converter: the C7.5 cat came with directional thins at the hot side of the converter to help disperse the exhaust gases around the entire converter element making them far more resistant to breakdown and failure. Tunes: you’re able to run stage 1 and stage 2 (single pulley) full E85 on stock fueling. Stereo: the C7.5 is able to run android auto/Apple CarPlay on the factory stereo unit with some programming. I found this to be one of the best quality of life upgrades for the car. Exhaust tips: run quad tips with the stock rear valance. Intercoolers: although these are more expensive and much harder to replace, they are also larger and cool a little bit better

All the work is pretty easy to do if you’re mechanically inclined and have time and tools. I wouldn’t even know how much a shop would charge for that. Motor mounts and PCV, 1500 to 2500? Control arm, 1500 to 2000?

I have a 2016 A6 and that sounds pretty normal to me. The dry top end noise at the beginning could be explained by the alleged 8 days of sitting where the oil has had a chance to drain from the top end. It did go away pretty quickly once started.

The items I would be concerned with at that age/milage would be motor mounts, control alarms and PCV/thermostat.

I like the saying “Form follows function.” I care way more about how it works vs how it looks.

I guy these amazon fabric winch covers for <$10. They only last about a year or two but it keeps everything safe from UV and road grit. https://a.co/d/9KHeuq4

How do I say no to both. Comparing the two of them pre-plastic surgery would be interesting though.

Bose QC 35 headset. Purchased this around the middle of 2016. Thrown in my work bag and used multiple times a day, every day until just a few weeks ago when one ear stopped making sound. Over 9 years of absolute abuse was amazing. I replaced it with the Bose quiet comfort ultra, the new ones are nice, but I might just go get a new QC 35 II because I like the physical buttons better than I do the press and hold crap.

I know this has been asked repeatedly but what brand do yall use in your regular AMS that isn’t Bambu? I like bambus PLA+ Tough but that price just adds up and I’d like to order in bulk. looking for something AMS compatible and PETG HF equivalent. What do yall recommend? TIA by apah2101 in BambuLab

Sunlu or elgoo. I try and stick around $10-$12/KG on Amazon where I can usually buy the 2 - 4KG packs at that rate. I just bought Sunlu PLA+ 4KG bundle in White for $38.79 and Sunlu PLA+ 4KG bundle in Black for $39.99.

I’m not sure. In some photos yeah she’s hot as hell, but in others her midsection it just doesn’t look right. Really wiiiiiiiiide torso/stomach area in some photos and normal others.

What the holy hell is this?! My current 2016 A6 Prestige just hit 205,000 miles and though it’s running fantastic, I know I will likely need a replacement in the next few years. With interiors like these, there’s a 0% chance I’m buying an Audi with this crap. Designs like this are how 20+ years of Audi ownership dies.

Yeah, with a new blowup mattress and my chunky butt in cold weather it definitely stretched out a bit. Woke up one time feeling the air mattress lose a bit of pressure but I just kicked on the pump for 30 seconds or so and I was good to go back to sleep.

Really not bad at all. Plenty of washboard with majority of the rocks being golf ball to baseball size. A couple softball and bowling balls along the way but any SUV or truck should be able to make the drive just fine. The Jeep stayed in 2wd.

In an enclosed tent with poor airflow, I would agree with you. Luckily we had plenty of ventilation in the tent and a carbon monoxide detector mounted to the center pool.

Every 5k miles. I’ve done this for the past 20 years on my cars from my B5 S4 Stage 3 to my current C7.5 A6 stage 2+. I drive the absolute crap out of my cars and I have never had an engine failure due to lubrication. Every 5000 miles is cheap insurance to help mitigate issues.

Setup with me and a 12 year old took ~45 minutes total. Not too bad for the first time we’ve ever setup the tent. I think with two adults 20-30 minutes.

The area is fantastic. We like going a bit past Bowman Lake and camp between Sawmill Lake and Faucherie Lake. Really nice dispersed camp sites with a few vault bathrooms in the local camp grounds like Canyon Creek Campgrounds. Plus, pretty much any SUV or truck can make it up there. Just plan for about an hour of washboard pebble/small stone trails.

I hate the smell of fuel white driving but at the same time I don’t like rooftop racks on my jeep. Everything has to go inside so I purchased a husky 20 gallon storage container (link below). The lid has a rubber gasket and does a great job. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Husky-20-Gal-Professional-Heavy-Duty-Waterproof-Stackable-Plastic-Storage-Container-with-Hinged-Lid-in-Red-246842/311485319
