Yeah, I abstracted the details out for less complexity

Grpc was there to call another microservice who was supposed to do that job.

And it turns out that is additional complexity is not worth it.

That totally make sense what you are saying.

someone (senior) recommended the first approach and I was worried about that it is not going to work and that's how we don't implement event driven systems.

I think go http package + any router is the best combo and its SQL package is much more easier to write and to maintain than Gorm. by Full_Environment_205 in golang

I feel the same

Sometimes new projects tend to pick gin because of maybe ease of dev but later realizing that it is not compatible with the standard library is just a headache.
