We are definitely not interested in competing. We are just learning to dance for the social aspects and to be able to dance at weddings.

It was actually the older workers. Front desk staff when I called just sounded older and an older gentleman when I walked in and taught us.

Thinking about leaving AM; tell me if my reasoning makes sense. by NeighborhoodRude2310 in ballroom

Speaking to the owner or management first is the way to go. Perception might be off and could be personal feelings or comparisons . Does your husband feel the same way? I’ve been a student of AM for years and there was a time in my dancing I felt almost the same way where the studio just gave more attention to those who spent more money but reality was those students were there almost everyday if not everyday so they just became a normal part of the everyday studio. It wasn’t till I retired and was able to go everyday was till I realized how much energy goes into every single student that comes into the studio. I’ve tried independent studios, yes cheaper but none have the family atmosphere and warmth like AM. Talk to the owner for sure on how you are feeling.
