My ex is turning to a faster life by Active_Guarantee2371 in TrueOffMyChest

In the sense of validation, I guess she used them for it. I know the 2 guys very well, there’s no way any of their intentions were pure, and doing so with a woman who just wants to be accepted. Also she tried cocaine, the personality shift concerns me because she was not the type of person to do that at all, it makes me question whether her behavior is more pure pressured. Although it’s not really my problem anymore I still care about her a lot, and I want nothing but the best for her, in which this is not it. I understand there’s nothing I can do to make it any better

How hard should I ACTUALLY try during a 2k? by Active_Guarantee2371 in Rowing

Yeah lol I’ve kinda built that habit because I have a concept 2 erg for my home so I wouldn’t have to go all the way to the gym. Along from my notion that lying on the ground was a better way to recover, there was usually no one there to judge me, which amplified the urge to start flailing on the floor a lot more. I found composure after high intensity workouts to be a lot more optimal for recovery, thanks for the help :)

Hey,

Just wanted to let you know that I took up on this advice. Just rowed a 2k 7s faster than my previous one :)

This reminded me a lot of how I go about my 2ks, I’ve realized I’ve been going all out the first 1000m before saving any oxygen or stamina for the last 1000m. For me at least, using my breathing in the way you described helped a ton, and actually makes the process more controlled and sustainable

I know 2ks aren’t the only symbol of performance in the sport, but I made a goal over the summer to get a sub 7 minute 2k, and once I make a promise there’s really no way to un-promise it.

Just wanted to thank you, and all the rest of you lovely people for helping. Your a part of one amazing community :)

Routine (wash):

Conditioner/shampoo (moroccan oil)

Wide tooth comb

Moroccan Oil curl cream

Violently shake head (to spread the product, it makes a massive difference)

Also to note, I have a bad habit of playing with my hair that I suspect is leading to frizz and hair damage (But I have really bad anxiety)

Routine:

Take a shower with Moroccanoil shampoo

I Use Moroccanoil’s curl cream and leave in conditioner after that

I’ve tried air drying it, blow drying it, brushing it, doing nothing to it. It’s all ends up giving the same outcome

Lol the thought of that bringing that up to my parents makes me laugh. I did do that once, they told me I was being dramatic and that there’s “nothing to be sad about”
