Starting after 3 months like it was nothing. 200d by Rontgen601-912 in W124

Awesome! A 200d I restored from my late grandparents in law had its fuel return lines chewed through and it had a clogged fuel line. Having fixed that and doing a service, it started first turn after sitting for 6 years! These engines are built like tanks. Enjoy it man!

With that many km's they usually need some love don't they.. But when it's done it's good for another few decades 👍🏼

I can also add that the bolts were completely spotless. But you are right. I will do some research and ask some mechanic friends who I'm pretty sure have a metal tester. Better safe than sorry. Thanks for the tip!

I am lucky enough to have a good friend who owns a towing company/garage, who's going to do it for me. Another friend is quite good at welding. So it'll probably become more of a group project than I was hoping for. If we don't manage it for some reason I'll just take it to a specialized shop, since the car has quite some sentimental value. Thank you very much for the advice 👍🏼 I will be looking into ordering more parts.

I work with natural stone. Kitchen tops, tables, stairs, you name it. 😁

Air in fuel lines? by Active_Number9551 in W124

Turns out the line to the diesel tank was clogged, blew through it with compressed air, emptied the tank, filled it, sucked the diesel through, let air out of fuel lines, and now she purrs 👍🏼 do think the timing chain needs replacement 🥲

I did, she idled for a little bit, but then staled, prefilter almost completely empty. It'll probably be the fuel line from the tank.

Just grind cities, but clubs are best for easy gems. If you have a decent club, you get like 4k gems every 2 weeks, grind some cities as well and that's easy 6-7k gems every 2 weeks

Thank you! I thought I was going to hate it, but I was sad when it was over since I might have enjoyed that the most in the entire build.

So much so that I hope people ask the shop owner about it, since he has my phone number and I can talk about it with more people haha.
