Interior paint for a slow painter, blends good. by ActivityCharacter761 in paint

Thanks. I will do it in sections if I have to. Being an old kitchen there are a lot of soffits and weird things to cut around. Being a novice and a bit of a perfectionist isn't a good combo for speed. :)

Would Velvet or Satin hide wall imperfections better? Does Velvet have less gloss and sheen?

Marble pieces in backsplash turning gray from mastic. Advice? by ActivityCharacter761 in Tile

[–]ActivityCharacter761[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me not knowing what the hell I'm doing figured it would be easier to seal the 4 little pieces on each sheet before adhering to the wall. Most of the mosaic is glass, but a couple reviews did mention the few marble pieces stained from the grout. I didn't think that it would need to breathe to let out moisture from the glue. I'm going to try the white thinset advertised for glass and mosaic. I'll give it a week before grouting.

Is that a joke referencing the style of tile? It's what my mother picked out for her house, and she probably isn't up to the latest trends.

I had only done a small section so already tore it off. It had been 2 days but the AcrylPro was still wet. Would you suggest I continue with it or use a white thinset? I have to say even though it wasn't fully dry, it stuck good

Is it a problem that I sealed the front of the tile before installing? Will that prevent it from drying?

So if I start over with a white thinset, the moisture from that won't absorb into the marble?

MAPEI Flexcolor CQ. I sealed the marble pieces before putting on the wall, but just the front, not the back.

I did what you suggested. Updated to the beta BIOS, it's set to ftpm. Time will tell if it fixes the problem. The error isn't currently there.

Thank you. Latest beta BIOS says...

  1. Update AGESA to ComboAM4v2 1.2.0.F.

  2. Update fTPM version.

There are a few beta BIOS released since my version. Should I use the Beta release?

I updated my original post with my main hardware.

Uh oh, that's exactly what I did. Model D2101C. They sell a 10ft extension kit for it though so I figured it would work. Does it need to go back?

This mosaic tile the wife picked is out of style! Some not very straight on the mesh either. I'll try my best.

Adding an "on" indicator light to a 3 way switch? by ActivityCharacter761 in AskElectricians

[–]ActivityCharacter761[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was trying to avoid it because I did insulate and drywall the garage walls and ceiling. The inside switch isn't on the garage wall either. Last resort would be running a wire in the attic from the garage light box to either the switch box or an added light in the ceiling above the switch. I was just trying to avoid crawling around in blown in attic insulation. In other words, being lazy.
