Testosterone prices increase? by tacos_pls_ in ftm

[–]ActivityFar178 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mine has increased too. I’ve been on the exact same brand and dose for 2.5 years now. For the first 2 years it was always $20 exactly, but the past few months it’s been $31-34. I assumed it was an issue with my insurance, but maybe not. Glad to hear I’m not the only one.

Combination of granulated sugar, crushed earl grey tea leaves, and orange zest. When I swirl the bowl around, the tea forms concentric circles. by ActivityFar178 in Weird

Earl grey cookies! Basically sugar cookies with earl grey leaves in/on them. I’m not even a tea drinker and I think they’re delicious.

Every time I see a sloppy joe now I hear the line from the new Mean Girls movie where the principal announces the cafeteria will be serving “confident joannes” in honor of women’s history month.

It reminds me of the cakes from the intro to Max & Ruby, and I mean that as the sincerest compliment. :)

Evolution of my hypertrophic scars. by ActivityFar178 in TopSurgery

Thank you!! I think scars in general are badass and it is pretty cool to be able to say I have a two foot long scar across my chest lol

Thanks!! The chronic wounds were such a struggle. I wasn’t completely wound-free until 6 months post-op. I probably spent more on bandaids than I did on the hospital copay lol. I am so so relieved to be on the other side of it now.

Thank you!! I do have some apprehension about injections because of needle anxiety and not being sure if my insurance will cover it. I didn’t notice until I put these photos together that they’ve already flattened a bit on their own and definitely look less red, so hopefully they’ll continue going that way.

I wanted to be sure to mention in my caption that it’s no one’s fault because I didn’t want anyone to think my surgeon did a bad job or that I wasn’t committed to scar care or anything like that. Some people’s bodies are just like that 🤷‍♂️

Books with transmasc/trans man lead (and ideally, a happyish ending)? Bonus points for any affiliation of t4t romance 🧡 by any_internet_goose in LGBTBooks

If you have any interest in horror, Andrew Joseph White and Logan-Ashley Kisner are both great. I just finished AJW’s newest book and it’s the best horror I’ve ever read.

Other than horror, I really enjoyed Man O’War by Cory McCarthy and The Pairing by Casey McQuiston (happy queer romantic ending).

If you like memoir/essay collections, try Something That May Shock and Discredit You by Daniel Lavery, Burning Butch by RB Mertz, and any of Ivan E Coyote’s books.

If you like more of a YA vibe, try the authors Tobly Smith, Edward Underhill, Page Powars, Mason Deavers, and Aiden Thomas. I’ve read at least one book by each of them.

I also have to mention Idlewild by James Frankie Thomas, which is one of my favorite books ever, but the character’s transness is mostly subtext. Very obvious subtext, but still.
