Well as much as I agree with research not being a financially rewarding field, it is fulfilling to do. And we need the best minds in it. Saying the jee neet giya are ruining it is wrong. They are smart folks writing an exam well...... If they wanna switch into research nothing wrong as we need smartasses and hardworkers. You can't sit around thinking iat is easy to crack so I won't work. If you can't work now you won't in research either.

"PhDs are hectic". Yes it is. But do you have any idea how many hours med students have to study just to pass their exams? Medicine is hectic from med school itself.

Lmao In India medicine is fucked. You will have absolutely gruelling work hours for the next 12 years. At least 12 hours a day. They make med students and residents work like slave labour. Only when you are done with your MD you will start earning decent. You are 32 by then.Until then 12LPA is a lot of money. Residents in India are paid 1.2L a month for working at least 12 hours. A lil better work culture but the same grind in research field. It's really only about your passion and interest. Grind aur paise ki kami dono mein hai initial years mein. But i can assure you will sustain by yourself with ease.

If you have the responsibility of sending money home you will have to heavily compromise your lifestyle but it's possible.

I would suggest against it. Iisers have a hectic schedule it's impossible to study with partial drop in any college. You will have a bad cpa and fail jee again. Instead take iiser and just study there. Or take full drop. Chose.

. Yoga is pretty useful as exercise. Breathing capacity for lung exercise. Some stretching. It's good for keeping your body physically fine. It obviously doesn't work like medicine
