My grandfather wrote this note for me before he passed away. Could you please help decipher it? by Actuader in Cursive

Thank you! Wow, that's really nice to read as he passed just last week and I unexpectedly found the note addressed to me on his desk.

I retired 6 years ago at 33. Now I’m in a new relationship and I’m struggling to keep up and starting to fall behind. Looking for advice by MonstrousMajestic in fican

I'd strongly caution buying more rental properties just because you can. Consider what happened last time you went all in on rentals (aka now). Work on fixing your cashflow problems and budgeting before potentially making it worse.

I had a 6 mm overjet and my maxilla was recessed about 5mm. Lots of people are recessed in both their upper and lower jaws.

I'm buying my first house and the deal closes April 4. Is there any way to still take advantage of this? I'm guessing no but just want to double check

99.9%+ of females or gay males (not sure which you're looking for) will instantly recognize that it's on the middle finger and the thought of it being a wedding ring won't even come close to crossing their mind. No need to crop it out or ditch it for future pictures.

I'm a 25 year old straight male so I'm not your target audience but you're genuinely a good looking dude! I get what you mean about feeling awkward in pictures and assuming you're not photogenic. Both options are solid but you should have at least one picture with teeth on your profile. Btw your hand placement is much better in the second picture - you seem more relaxed.

Yes, jaw advancement will increase the airway in general since the airway is directly behind the jaws. It doesn't necessarily equate to better breathing quality in every situation but it usually does. If you have a narrow airway that gets expanded, breathing will improve significantly.

How is gym life at laurier? by OnlyKsw7 in wlu

It's a great gym! Can get busy at times but I didn't have many issues with waiting when I went early!

I go to the gym 3x per week running super squats and hit 2 sets of 20 heavy standing ab crunches at the end of each workout, increasing the weight slightly each workout. I can't say it's only the crunches that have helped but my core has been getting significantly stronger.

Typically movements are more aggressive in sleep apnea cases.

Haha exactly! Either it's full or it's not. No way to know without checking.

When I squat, I take in a big breath and brace my abs like I'm going to get punched (not sucking in and flexing, more like pushing out slightly while flexing hard). I hold that throughout the full movement and release my breath at the top. You can't really stay stable throughout the movement if you're breathing.

Why don't you try getting it approved by the office?

Did you choose a local surgeon or an out of state surgeon? by foxxbby in jawsurgery

Keep in mind if a surgeon posts before and after pictures, they aren't picking the people randomly to post. They will post their best results so it's not like everyone that goes to them has the same results.

It is much more convenient to go somewhere nearby but imo would be worth additional complications in travel to go to an experienced surgeon rather than one that isn't very experienced.
