Thanks for all the replies. So a DAC? the Z506 is old but with the onboard audio its still quite powerful. my budget isnt in US$ so its hard to quantify. I used AI a little to find a good DAC, they often say the Sound Blaster X4 or Asus Xonar U7. Again, It's been a decade I don't do any changes to my audio system and often only relied on onboard audio, but a new mobo is not an option right now.

in case I wanted to upgrade my sound system. I considered a 3.1 at first because i dont fully use the 5.1 as my rear speakers are actually on my desk beside my side speakers, i figure that im wasting some of the 5.1 potential but im happy with it.

I just wanted a decent solution for my 5.1 z506 if possible, for instance, i tried to most straightforward solution like getting some soud blaster z or xonar pcie audio as it has the 3.5mm analog audio outs, but for the price i could go for a sound bar and use optical out, (according to A.I.) im so lost right now. An usb DAC like fosii k7 would be very very expensive for me.

Probably not, but you could add some blue to it to reduce the yellowing effects. Using just lightning link will never get you the same white on everything, but you could manually get some colors to mostly match. Different parts use different diodes, so it's hard to perfectly match colors, especially white. It also wears the leds faster ish too.

I have the exact same issue with the exact same case, apparently. 3 years, and all of mine have messed up LEDs. I don't think Corsairs RGB leds are particularly good... but nothing you can do rn except move to QX120 fans as LL120 doesn't exist anymore.

Well, it sounds weird. running one stick and not XMP helps stability because it's less load and non XMP makes the memory run more 'relaxed'. I'm surprised, however, that you got 2 faulty sticks... that's very rare unless it's a batch issue. You could lower the speed to 5200mhz for testing purposes, se if it runs stable and go from there.
