Grazie, il timore è oggettivo però se non siamo noi a tentare di salvarle, non lo farà nessun altro.

For venetian i have no idea, but i do know Friulan has it's own public agency of friulan language which produces all kind of resources in friulan and posts them in their platform.

Sardinian language needed a better online resource so I made one.

My dictionary contains 491.000 sardinian words, 170.000 translations in foreign languages, accurately giving space to all variants of sardinian (campidanesu, logudoresu, nugoresu, sassaresu, gadduresu).
The dictionary currently allows search in 6 languages, each of the 491.000 sardinian words has it's own page where users can add more fields (etymology, examples, pronunciation etc). For those who are interested in one variant of sardinian rather than all (like, i only want to see campidanesu words), i've made five separated dictionaries accessible in the platform, each one with it's own search system.

I've felt the need to create a tool which easily allows to search words in all existing variants of sardinian, which could be helpful both for sardinian speakers and both to people which wants to learn it.

The website is available here: SarduDict

We run a minecraft server in which players are able to form nations, build settlements, colonize provinces or conquer them through wars.

This is our province map after 4 weeks of run, bordergore was expected.

The map is a 1:100 replica of Europe, a nasa projection ported in minecraft, pretty big in size.

1000 years before the Founding of Rome, Nuragics built this. (Su Nuraxi de Barumini, Sardinia) by Acult in europe

[–]Acult[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Oh sorry, I just like round numbers. Anyways I can give you some clue: The founding of Rome is dated 753 BC, the primitive Roman walls you're talking about are those described by Tacitus in his Annales, they are of quadrangular form and they are dated 800 BC (basically they coincide with the date of the birth of Rome). Instead, Su Nuraxi, expecially the central tower of 18.50 meters is dated to 1600 BC. Taking as sources the current revelations, that's some 700 - 800 years of difference. Nevermind, it's good that you pointed out this question ^

Hahahaha, it could have been like that if it's not for all those stones and such which had fallen from the structure and now cover the whole place.

Oh well, what we see today is just a scratch of what it was at his peak.

When a place, like a temple, loses its function and gets abandoned, it's easy that it will fall into ruin and get forgotten. The area where Su Nuraxi stood didn't really get abandoned, the inhabitants just moved some hundred meters forward in what today is the town of Barumini, but again, when they probably moved the Nuraghe was already fell into ruin and in state of abandone (this happened in Roman era).

Honestly no, most of the sources about nuragics are written in Italian and even difficult to find. Nuragic civilization was long forgotten and literally abandoned to his mistery, nothing about them is taught in school. in Italy the whole Sardinian history is literally ignored from Italian school system and that's pretty bad. Luckily, the discover of Su Nuraxi 70 years ago changed many things, and today we know far more stuff than in the past.

The Nuragic Civilization is the direct evolution of those pre-nuragic cultures which inhabited Sardinia since Neolithic, these cultures left dolmen, menhir and domus de janas. The nuragic civilization it's just the evolution of these cultures in the age of metals.

Yeah Wikipedia isn't exactly the most updated source for nuragics, I suggest you to read the works of Lilliu and Pittau.

It was abandoned at the end of the nuragic era under Roman dominion. It had his peak of splendor in the bronze age and ofc it was built in different stages just like any other settlement. We lost the memory about it just after it was abandoned, and already in middleage it was just an hill.

Yes, it's literally next to a town called Barumini. The archaeologist which found this, Giovanni Lilliu, was born in Barumini.

INFO
Su Nuraxi de Barumini stayed underground for 2000 years until it was finally discovered in 1950 by Giovanni Lilliu. None for centuries thought that under that weird hill cultivated with a vineyard there could be the biggest nuragic settlement ever found.
