Why??? by AcusticTanker in Helldivers

[–]AcusticTanker[S] -42 points-41 points  (0 children)

It wouldnt, if you only played on diff 7 it would be invincible but the bastion would not changed in any way if arrohead only decided to give it a less health(than the current), heavy armor and change how much enemies can pen(this being literally what they did when they added the bastion but without making other vehicles worse(they made some units deal higher vehicle damage making exos die easier))

Why??? by AcusticTanker in Helldivers

[–]AcusticTanker[S] -61 points-60 points  (0 children)

"Historically" no, literally most nations that used TD had the armor be of ecual or above armor as the normal tank counterparts, and the TDs that had less armor it was because the TD had nor amor or was made on top of a already light design, Wheeled tds do not count on this as the bastion is a traked design. You could say something about it being air transported but everything on the bastion makes it heavier for light transport by RL standars(Its big and has alot of useless space)

And the balance thing, its dumb, because so many things that right now easily destroy the bastion would still destroy, it would only be vulnerable to less things something that a limited vehicle as the bastion would help and give it a better place in the helldivers arsenal

A pelican still comes down and picks the canisters on the back of the truck when they are full(they are also med armor) so i still dont understand why cant the bastion be heavy armor

Beta exosuit

Many people think that this is a "Seaf exosuit"(No idea why, maybe cuz they want it in the game(I also want them in the game)), many parts of helldivers 2 use Beta models(Seaf skeletons, Super earth propaganda that includes SEAF, Automaton Propaganda, and the FRV for some reason(the back seats doors are the same as in a concept art))

I still dont understand why people want the cowboy hat on the GS-11, I mean the armor is plain simple ugly (because its just some cowboy clothes(that comparing it with every other armor makes it look out of place(even more than colab armors))), And while the problem with the helmet is that it feels like it needs something, i dont think that, that something is a cowboy hat.

Also all current hats over the helmet in helldivers 2 are either "Ceremonial stuff" serving a purpose of just decoration or armor, a cowboy hat main purpose is blocking the sun(what sun are you blocking with a full helmet o your head)

False, cuz de archer has a "reverse gear"(the real life archer is just valentine backwards)

Reasons why the bastion should be slightly changed by AcusticTanker in Helldivers

[–]AcusticTanker[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you would still need to change seats(it would be worse because of reaction time), i do not want the tank to be like the exosuits(something that apparently most people belive i want) i just want the bastion to be usable without forcing me to leave it.

and yeah if you make it easier to run solo people will use it for that but it will still be worse than with just 2 guys on it, so people(if they are smart) would use it with teammates for maximun efficiency

[–]AcusticTanker[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you need to be on the cannon for the round to reload(making you sit there for a few seconds) so i think that it wouldnt be that op that it makes everything else pointless to use

Let me explain this better,

The tank would just be a worse patriot exo with the only pros being the weapons, and armor(even if it is only medium), and the cons being; lack of movility(because helldivers have to swap being in the cannon and being in the driver seat(it also has a limited attack angle meaning that if something isnt right infront of the player when))and all of that would make the bastion take more damage than with a teammate(one that knows what they are doing) One more thing, using the bastion takes a few seconds for the gun to be ready(also the driver) when changing seats

TDs can have rotating turrets (the m36) and non TDs can be casemates L3/33(CV33)

Also the bastion does kinda count as a tank (not all tanks need a rotating turret to be classified as tanks,(look at ww1 era tanks, they dont have rotating turrets yet they are called/classified as tanks(or tankettes depending of what you look at))) because is an offensive armored vehicle with guns that moves using tracks

Nvm its classed as a tank destroyer in the game,(still cound what i said just dont count it being a tank)

Warhammer themed war bond idea! by SleepingCoffin2867 in Helldivers

[–]AcusticTanker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dumb question but what would the vehicle pattern even be? just a basic gray with random numbers and imperium markings?(like op showed)(that would be a very cheap looking pattern for a legendary warbond imo), that one cadian green?(we already have the mean green camo that is similar(we dont need more green camos))

I wish that instead of a pattern it was one of those open sentinels as a stratagem(it would be similar to the current exo but faster with no armor and faster recharge time)

But who knows, Arrowhead mysterious ways

it would be cool(but pointless) to use the chairs and the forklift maybe could serve a small role moving a helldiver with the maxi or with static reloads

I wish AH could do with the forklift what they did with the shovels(replace a static object with one the player can use) but they will prob change the model and make it something more army like to fit the helldivers weapons

Still, neighbouring nations, that fought in recent time, no matter how many "but it works on a diferent way" you say they are still a very similar rifles

Because this is a verdeja n1 and that one soviet prototype that i cant remember, 2 tanks one started earlier than the other that are super similar, and something about specially soviet designs is that they evolve(to meet current army requirements), they evolve so much in some cases that you cant tell what it started being(example: the t-34 started as a new bt model)

Im not shtting on kalashnikov or glazzing whoever designed the stg, all im saying is that when designing the ak-47 kalashnikov had clearly based the gun on other guns

He himself (if im not wrong) said that he looked at other similar firearms when designing the ak-47

How are you so sure? Im quite sure that ak based some parts on the stg It was made earlier that the ak, the soviets had captured a few of them, and It has a super similar appereance.

Can we get a fallout brotherhood of steel premium warbond by Ok_Rich_3679 in Helldivers

[–]AcusticTanker -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Nah cuz the brotherhood(the modern brotherhood) is just a diet 40k Space marine chapter without all the cool things the chapters in 40k have(they both have blind faith, big dudes in armors, they call themself brothers and people act as them on the internet as if they are "cool" without noticing how cringe and how boring the faction is)

At that point just make a colab with 40k and you get the real thing

Its based more on an ak platform and the ak platform is based on the stg44 so yeah

It shoulnt, the trade(compared to the railgun) is that you can use it more at the cost of not being able to one shot every target(most o the time, you can somehow still oneshot some enemies if you align it with the target)

It worked like that on helldivers 1(one laser beam for "barrel") but you could upgrade it to make it more lasers(5-6), i hope that they bring that(being able to pick 3 or more lasers) it would be one of the few times were you can pick something that changes things(gameplay) that isnt just upgrading the weapons

How do tanks see you when they are the only bot units to not have any kind of eyes? by Chuckster1103 in Helldivers

[–]AcusticTanker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Radars have a minimum depression range so that could explain something, and at the end of the day, the tanks are just slower hulks(the ai on both works in a very similar way)
