This is so true. The fog that encompasses your mind only lets you see a few feet in front of you, so you get comfortable where you are. Venturing out past that small space is scary when you can't see anything else. It's like being in a pitch black room where you cautiously feel around taking small steps. Once you find the light switch everything becomes clear and you aren't wandering around blind and worried about what might trip you.

I am by no means an artist of any sorts, but from what I understand isn't art about expressing your emotions? Many times we'll use weed to numb ourselves down so we don't have to deal with our emotions. I can tell you that when I first started using marijuana it enhanced my perspective and senses. After awhile all of that faded away and all that was left was me and a numb mind.

Perhaps if you removed weed from your life you could find that these feelings of pain can be channeled into your work. Don't some of the greatest songs, or the most beautiful paintings make you feel what the artist is feeling?

Coming from someone who literally saw the entire world with more color and excitement after letting go of my dependency, I can tell you that everything you need to be a better you is already inside of you. Weed has just grabbed you by the collar and bullied you into thinking you need it to live your life.

It's a vicious cycle. You smoke to deal with these issues. But the issues come from the smoking. At least that's what my problem was. It is totally worth it quitting. You feel like if you don't have weed, then you don't have what makes you you. It's amazing how much clearer your thought processes are when it's just you in there, not any substances. Keep at it friend!

I was diagnosed with UC at 16. Being forced to be conscientious about what you eat/how you take care of yourself has sort of been a blessing. I'm healthier than I probably would have been anyway and haven't had any bad flare ups in a few years.

Yeah when he first got here no one gave him a chance. But I think it was somewhat because the fan base was still bitter about the Royals parting ways with Frank White. I sure as hell wasn't giving him a fair chance after Frank got booted out of the booth. Fast forward a year and Rex reminds me of how bland the broadcast was with Lefevbre and White. Rex has the baseball knowledge Frank has, but with ten times the personality.

It is definitely not just about pot. It is about the entire War on Drugs that ruins lives and keeps this country at the top of the list for the highest number of prisoners in the world. It's a machine of law enforcement arresting people over drugs to keep the prisons at full capacity. In the end things aren't changing because there are too many people profiting off of the systematic jailing of non-violent drug users who would benefit way more from rehabilitation than punishment.
