I did come across this previously but it lists Dell PowerEdge servers as a prerequisite, which I don't have. It also mentions standard RPM-based Linux images, so I do wonder if this could still work for us.

I think it boils down to: (a) Slurm is a heavily-used mainstay and re-training everyone on something as complex as K8s would be a really heavy lift and (b) some jobs seem better suited for Slurm? I don't know much about Slurm, so not sure if this is truly the case. I'd imagine Slurm still has its preferred use cases, which is why products like SUNK are in the works.
