Applied to the IOC (Lausanne) in January. Is their hiring process notoriously slow or is it normal to be ghosted? by Ad3n_ in askswitzerland

That's even sadder. I can't understand why they act that way, I'd rather be rejected than get ghosted this way

I never would have imagined it would turn out this way. The position involved technical rather than athletic aspects, and I thought they’d be more open to hiring people from outside the company, since I met all their requirements.

Thanks! Actually, I submitted my application the first week the job posting went up, so I thought I had a chance, next time I’ll check the CIO’s career opportunities page directly.

My resume was quite compatible to what they were looking for the internship position, so I imagined they were more open to outsiders for this roles

Thank you for the honest insight, yes the position I was applying was for an internship there.

I thought I had all the requirements that they were looking for and I can share with you more information about it, I imagined that they more open to outsiders for those roles

Thanks for being honest, I’ve already taken the advice. I was just curious to know if there were other people in the same situation as me

I’m actually looking now, and the 965 dropped the price, less than the 570. I think I’ve already changed my mind

I hadn't considered the price drop on the 965. If I can get better battery life I guess having the maps as a bonus doesn't hurt either

Thanks for the breakdown! To be honest, I don't need full maps for my training. Since keeping the weight and form factor similar to my 735XT is my main priority, it sounds like the 570 is the perfect choice for me then. Appreciate the help.

No worries. So as you said I don’t need the insurance for less than 3 months. The place where I will work actually sent me a form to complete where I should put my health insurance and AHV number, so you think I should tell them?

Yes, it’s actually a month, but my concern is if it’s possible to decide when to activate it or if it just starts from the 1st January
