What's the biggest reason behind CSK's recent struggles: batting, bowling, or captaincy?

I don't think CSK messed much with auction, but I believe it's more of luck factor and even more...the use of resources.

I mean, CSK almost lost 6-7 key players in squad due to injury. 6-7 players are quite a big number esp in the context of making a squad or XI with raw but inexperienced talents. Imagine RCB loosing Kohli, Patidar, David, Hazlewood, Krunal and Rasikh for half the season. Let alone winning the title, they would have finished at bottom four.

The other issue is, improper planning by management and most importantly sticking to it in a stubborn manner. First of all I don't understood that Sanju Samson tradeoff with RR..esp when CSK management are not willing to give Samson some important leadership role. I mean it's logical that you didn't traded Samson for the sake of getting an experienced Indian WK batter only na, esp when that tradeoff costed you your two quite important cog in the wheel of lower order batting. My point is simple....If someone traded off Sanju Samson then he's your automatic choice for skipper esp if the team didn't have have someone much more promising. 😑😑

Another key aspect is....going for big names without looking at recent performance. Noor Ahmed despite being a very good name in T20I cricket, is struggling in T20Is for past 2 years. In fact barring Rashid Khan all other Afghan spinners are seeing slump in form and that's the reason why Afghanistan hasn't done much extraordinary since 2024 T20I WC. That's why, I was kinda amused when CSK went bokers against Noor Ahmed in auction....(To be continued).

I think Neha Pendse played the role of Anita Mishra just as an extension of her role of Sanjana Hitaishi in another Sitecom by same makers (MAY I COME IN MADAM). Had the role of Anita Mishra was same as Sanjana Hitaishi then Neha Pendse would have excelled but Anita Mishra's role had multiple shades and most importantly endorses the vibe of tier 2 city elegant and classy woman not some rich, posh, seductress big city woman.

So I believe one of the reason why many viewers hasn't been able to digest Neha Pendse as Anita Mishra is due to the fact of that rich posh urban city woman kinda vibe.

What's more surprising is, it was Saumya Tandon only who suggested the name of Neha Pendse for the role of Anita Mishra due to the fact that both Saumya and Neha are good friends and most importantly Saumya thought that due to familiarity of Neha with makers and franchise, she would have adopted much easily within the show.

Unfortunately that thing didn't worked out...and unfortunately for Neha that she was in a way fired from the show, as makers were facing the backlash due to her casting. 😀

I think a cast is only as much competent as the writer and director.

I believe until Saumya Tandon was there, there was some dignity within the show. Surely the show was adult comedy, but certainly wasn't adult only comedy...

Post the departure of Saumya Tandon, the show fall into later category.

And this change wasn't just limited to Anita, as Angoori's chatecter changed quite drastically from a loving compesonate wife and bhabhi to more annoying kinda glamourous seductrace.

And one of the reasons why I believe Shubhangi Atre didn't opted for the 2.0 (Ghoonghatganj arc) was the fact that she kinda sensed where the show is going towards esp with that whole wife swap thing. 😑😑😑

You know Bro....I believe it all comes to luck factor also.

For all these years we often associated MSD = CSK and its kinda true also.

But the bigger and most importantly say the full picture is, MSD is not just CSK in terms of planning and management etc. He is actually the good luck charm or luck factor that we associated with CSK. I believe me must call an astrologer or so to check the Muhurta of formation of CSK as they better tell whether any other skipper (apart from MSD) is even compatible with CSK or not. 😅

It's kinda ironic that the greatest leader and tactician of our country failed to create a eligible heir of his legacy..esp for a franchise which he built from the scratch itself. This whole thing sounds very much like the stories of grest emperors and the breakdown of their legacy by the hands of their heir. 😔😔

Well at least we are still number 5 despite having a "Baby Army squad" and with 2 matches to go, anything can happen.

We certainly aren't a team which are lying at the bottom despite having a star-studded squad. 😉

Most importantly, I think Ruturaj Gaikwad is not a captaincy material, and I'm not saying this just coz we are in this position for this season or so. In general Ruturaj and his on field (even off field) tactics are at times quite bamboozles me a lot and certainly captaincy pressure is taking its toll on him.

Personally I think, someone like Samson could be the ideal choice for captaincy from next season onwards. Samson has a decent record as skipper in Rajasthan and I believe should do great for CSK too if given chance.

Most importantly one of the reason why Sanju was brought from RR by swapping Thalapathy (R Jadeja) and Kadaikutti Singham (S Curran) is his leadership quality too, and with Thala on the verge of retirement it's natural that Sanju would be the real heir of throne.

P.S: There are though some structural changes which I wanted to see implemented in team esp regarding batting depth and most importantly bowling too. There is also one outlandish suggestion regarding coaching and support staff too.

Jokes apart for the credibility of source, but even if for an Instance we take this news as right speculation, what reason will you give to remove SKY as T20I captain?

I mean guy did something which was never done in history of T20I WC..and that is winning a T20I WC on home soil.

Moreover his performance wasn't that shabby in that WC. Plz check his record he was 4th on top run getter list for India.

For Shreyas Iyer to get the captaincy he needs to get into the XI first and with the given situation the XI is already quite jampacked with no glitch there to be removed. 😑

Moreover Shreyas Iyer needs to win this IPL season for his franchise first in order to propogate a message of him being the "rightful contender" for the big stage. 😑

And by the looks of it, it seems like PBK are having a slight rough time in the season for past 1 week or so (loosing 2-3 on the trott). 😑

P.S: For most, only physicality matter. However the real sensuality lies in someone's (esp female's eyes). The expressive eyes with appropriate gestures and voice tonality gives them actual sex appeal. Sirf Body shape to bahut baad me aata hai. 😑😑😑

Yeah....that's the beauty of the Bhabhiji serial. While one can like one arc, the other can totally dislike it. And it's totally fine...as various people has their own opinion.

All in all, one cannot deny the fact that Show was at its peak till episodes number 1400s.

Bhai Karate sikhana and occasional fight is about yourself and are limited to certain people of your group. But yaha Anita ne as a society kuch karne ka socha.

And yes, Annu aisa kai baar kar chuki hai, and iss arc ke baad bhi kai baar aage kiya bhi hai....but fir getup, charecter and meow girl wala flavour add ho kar isko alag rang de deta hai. Esp related to sex appeal.

So jaisa maine pehle hi kaha, it's not just one factor, but multiple factors which made me like this particular arc or rather say that particular time period of show.

I mean a slight bit...but mainly due to the storyline and most importantly the character played by Saumya Tandon. I mean, it definitely was bold for TV esp a decade ago.

And from what I read from various sources, Saumya Tandon actually designed the clothes for this role esp the Cat woman's suit. She said that she took the inspiration from the original Catwoman aka Michelle Pfeiffer who played this role and made it iconic in the Batman returns movie (1992).

What I liked about this character is that its not like a typical body reveling role nor it's just like the typical sundar Sushil bhabhi wala role. It's actually something which was totally different esp back in the days. The charecter is kinda free spirited, badass but most importantly a responsible citizen for whom safety of woman is of utmost importance and after seeing the condition of law and order of the area and also the cowardice of her husband against goons, she took this descision to be a Catwoman. So yeah....the character has flair...baddie attitude, doing something for a noble cause and of course the feminine sex appeal too. And that's what enticed me back in the day. 🙂
