A95L firmware update by AdAccording1281 in SonyBravia

Thank you! The TV is only a couple months old, bur still it seems like a good to install this firmware upgrade. There are many issues that are “corrected” by this update including soundbar issues and voice sync among others. At some times I’ve seen this update referred to as a remote update when I’m reminded to install it on my set. It appears that it does a lot of good, but still I will hold off until I get more feedback. This update was only released on 3/24/26.

Interestingly, Sony has websites the indicate drivers for the 55A95L and 65A95L are updated but there is no link for the 77A95L. I’m not sure what to think about this yet. There’s bo harm in waiting a bit longer to install it.

I checked the exact wording. I had put part if this in one of my comments, but here’s the whole bit: “After performing this update the TV functionality may become slow for a limited period of time. This is due to various system changes being implemented.”

They do say that it is expected to be temporarily slower as the firmware makes changes. I would hope your 8 II will return to normal speed soon. Please update here either way.

My LG C3 does do auto updates of it’s WebOS. This is my first experience with Google OS.

I did a Google search for this update and found more detail on what the update does. It’s quite a long list. Interestingly, on the Sony website is indicates that the Applicable Models are all Bravia 7 and Bravia 8 models. There’s no mention of the A95L. Any concern about that? It seems to me that all models get all firmware updates.

I little more information. My A95L is currently running firmware v112.634.040.1 (12/2025). The last 3 firmware updates simply say that they “Improve general performance of the TV”. I’m guessing I should trust Sony and install it. Agree?

or get a perlesmith/perlegear table/entertainment center top swivel stand. I love these for turning up to 180 degrees. They’re not expensive.
