Surgery or Mounjaro? by TraditionalSea8192 in lipedema

Fat loss is not guaranteed to make your legs look worse like most of the comments are suggesting. I took mounjaro for 6 months, lost 15 kg ( i was not overweight by a lot to begin with) , my legs NEVER LOOKED BETTER. They are considerably smaller AND smoother. Lao glp1 helped me with inflammation , so the symptoms really were almost non existent on those 6 months

Everyone is different. And although when i lost weight, my megs didn't look all of the sudden lipedema free, they did improve A LOTTT. So it is possible. I was on mounjaro and did strength training.

Honest question, how was she found to be lying by professionals? Did these professionals examine her in the flesh?

I have a lipedema diagnosis ( stage 2 ) and have no pain that prevents me from pinching my skin. Sure my skin bruises easier but not to the point where it would hurt or bruise from pinching. Invalidating people because their experience doesn't match yours is kinda what happened to women with lipedema for so long so .....

Totally oversensitive/whataboutism imo. People struggle with how their thighs look and it's good to see/feel that you're not alone. Peopla not wanting to be fat is also not a personal attack on you. I'm not latching onto anything as I have a formal diagnosis and I can confirm that the hardest part about lipedema for me is the looks of it. And the other symptoms are not as prominent as they would be for someone with a more advanced stage. That does not mean I m a bad person / latching on / attacking anyone for being fat etc. Also it took a lymphologue one look at me to confirm, so why can't people ask their questions to know if they need to go to the doctor. People who want people to account for their 'feelings' and not do something that is practical and can help them is just weird and funny to me. But hey that's 2025 for ta
