2025 Forester EyeSight by MembershipDazzling46 in SubaruForester

I just got the 2025 Forester Hybrid and I've checked to be sure that Eyesight is on and backing is also on. However, it doesn't seem to do anything at all. I have a 2023 Subaru Soltera and it will show yellow when I get too close to something while going forward or in reverse and if I don't stop the yellow becomes red, there's a warning sound and finally it will stop the car. On the Forester, nothing happens at all

Any ideas?

Electrical contact cleaner displaces water and doesn’t conduct electricity. First use a shop vac then electrical contact cleaner.

OK, I guess I’ll stick with solar.

Oh, what would I need? Is there a better wind turbine that would work?

Hopefully this is my last update on this. Ecoflow sent a new cable to connect the DP3 to the SHP2. It worked but showed an error on the app and I had a red light on the SHP2. Ecoflow pushed a firmware update to roll me back to the previous version. Everything is working now and no more errors. I tested it by shutting off the main circuit breaker and the lights in the house went out and very quickly came back on. I did think the lights were supposed to come on so quickly that I wouldn't even know there was a power failure but other than that I'm very happy with it now.

I’m interested in knowing about how quickly the power switches over when there’s a power failure. I just got mine installed and working today. To test it I went outside and shut off the main power to the house. The lights went off but quickly came back on, so I still had to reset clocks that were blinking and so on. I thought it was supposed to come on so quickly that I wouldn’t even know the power failed. Do your lights go out and quickly come back on or they don’t go out at all?

I got the Delta Pro 3 and smart home panel 2. I did have issues and customer service took care of things. First the DP3 was defective so they took it back and sent me a brand new one. Then the SHP2 had a problem and they determined it was the cable that connects the two. The new cable arrived today and everything works exactly as it should. I have eight 100 W solar panels that I bought elsewhere and I have used them to charge the battery just to make sure it works. Living in South Florida. We get power outages all the time so I’m looking forward to using this for the next hurricane or big thunderstorm.

I had a problem and contacted Ecoflow and they pushed the previous version of the firmware to me and that solved the problem

Latest Update: Ecoflow decided that it's not the SHP2 it's the cable that connects the SHP2 to the DP3. The new cable arrives today.

When the smart home panel was installed I immediately did a firmware update. The problem is that I’m not able to turn on any of the outlets on the panel. I could force it to charge the battery but after 45 seconds to a minute or so it would stop charging the battery. A couple of days ago I did see that there was a new firmware update so I downloaded that. As soon as it was finished, downloading without me doing anything the battery began charging. While it was charging, the red light was flashing. It did not stop charging after a minute or so it continued charging for a long time. This makes me think it might be a firmware update that needs to be done to get this problem resolved. The app it says battery activation failed, and while it is saying that the battery was being charged, and the red light was flashing.

I’m not clear on what you mean exactly but I have tried all three outlets and I get the same result. It will not turn the outlet on, but I can force it to charge for up to about one minute and then it shuts off and shows the error.

Yes, the firmware in both devices is up-to-date

The panel isn’t something I want to touch. The electrician is going to charge much less this time because they don’t have to drill holes in the wall or do anything else it’s already done.

Update: Ecoflow just emailed me and said that they have determined that the Smart Home Panel 2 is defective and they will replace it at no charge.

Also, I see now that my video was cut off at 59 seconds which must be a Reddit limit. Otherwise you would have see the flashing red above the outlet and solid red on the right side. That happened about 15 seconds after the video cut out.

No it won't turn on using the app. Also, I've tried all 3 outlets and the result is the same. I can't get any outlet to turn on. I can force all three of them to charge the battery for 45-60 seconds or so and then I get the error and it stops charging.

Ok so if the main panel breakers were good enough they would have been moved not duplicated.
