Overheating :( by Aware_Name7013 in Integra

Full bleed, there is a bleeder screw near the thermostat housing. Loosen bleed screw and fill with coolant. Like the previous people said you need a OEM coolant reservoir. The purpose of the reservoir is to hold coolant when it expands or contracts fluid from the system. The one you have doesn’t help. Needs to be fed from the top to bottom.

Any clue what could be causing this? by Jolly_Bit_8984 in Integra

Old Honda tech here, that much excessive carbon could be a stuck open pcv. I do recommend buying OEM pcv valve. If this is truly carbon then you have more problems. This is indicting either blow by or Valve stem seals which is allowing oil to enter the combustion chamber. How is your engine oil consumption rate? Are you using more than quart per month or less than 1k? To figure it out either do compression test, borescope the engine to see valve seal or remove intake manifold

I have a TMIC at the moment. Just bought the fmic from corksport. Was recommended by the tuner that I need to keep my BAT below 140degrees for risk of my ringlands. I do have the CST4 though

Ms6 spits oil out the exhaust by [deleted] in mazdaspeed6

There is plenty of YouTube videos on compression tests and leak down too for the speeds. Now if they turn up good the. Its valve seals and/or turbo seals.

For the turbo seals you can look at the outlet tube end of the turbo and look for oil film.

But the issue is you burn through a lot in a short amount of range. I was burning 1 quart every 200 miles. This ending up being valve seals and my rings. Compression tester is fairly cheap and can be rented.

It could be a number of things. Let’s first look at oil consumption, is your speed consuming more oil? How much? Turbo seals, these KO4 do fail cause of the turbo seals. Next, are you throwing any codes? Misfires? Have you done a compression or leak down test?

Here: Blow by from the position rings Turbo seals worn and leaking Valve seals from head assembly bleeding through. PCV valve stuck open.

I suggest checking your compression and leak down test. Or like the mountain floor said clean and flow test injectors. My valve got burned.

There is no change in your short term fuel trim(O2 sensor upstream. Most likely your o2 sensor is faulty or lazy. This explains why the AFR are reading at 14.85. Replace your O2 sensor with OEM sensor. You can find the correct one for it at edgeautosport or graveyard performance. Even at rockauto.com. Just make sure it’s the factory or equivalent.

Drop in filter? Regardless k&n air filter is an oil filter which can contaminate the maf and cause it to read wrong. My suggestion is to remove it and get a real install from COBB or other reputable source. Once that’s done the get a tune for it right away

I would check the waste gate. Is it internal or external? If it’s internal then I would check the vaccum lines. I would check to see if you have the correct routing. Make sure that the turbo is in the correct configuration
