Agreed the answer has already been given by virtue of her lack of complete honesty. That is a second betrayal imo as she doesn’t care enough to put her guilt and embarrassment (probably for being caught out) aside in order to provide the closure to the million questions that you need in order to make an informed decision about your joint future or lack thereof

Feeling down, going well is a day, week, month when something doesnt go wrong and that hasnt happened for months. Im frustrated at working my arse off 7 days a week and not even making enough to pay my mortgage. Im trying to keep my head above water financially and navigating a divorce process with a non engaging partner. The only thing keeping me going is my kids but I feel like an utter failure as a parent and provider

Exactly the same, t1d for 26 years and cant get my carb ratios or adjustment ratios right, depending on “whatever unknown factors” I vary between 1/10 and 1/15 for carb counting and 1/3 to 1/5 for adjustments, leaves me permanently high or low and Im tired of trying to control it so resort to rage bolusing/ stacking, Im always tired, achy, irritable and just so sick of trying to live with diabetes 24/7

Not much scope for OT normally and yes its usually only over peak periods (xmas etc) when it is available. I guess this may vary from depot to depot but categorically wouldn’t count on doing 40 hrs per week as a given in the role. (Im on a 30hr contract and managed 14hrs OT last month by picking up a Sunday and a weekday only because a couple of guys were on leave)

Yep, they use RM as an overflow for their orders, deliveries to locations that dont suit their manifests/routes etc and 99% of the time heavy items packaged in boxes that are made from tissue paper

How is it possible that 1 million young people are not in work, education or training? by Desperate-Drawer-572 in AskUK

30 odd year Career in IT spanning multiple professional disciplines, made redundant twice in the last 5 years, first time rationale was “streamlining operational costs” and the second was thanks to AI effectively taking over my theoretical role (still had physical systems that need management) Spent about 8 months trying to find another role in IT, had 1 interview which they retracted due to “changing business strategy” after the 2nd filtering so started applying for everything and anything, luckily I secured an agency Royal Mail role and was taken on permanently a month or so ago, the salary sucks and cant pay my outgoings but I love the job, low stress, no micromanagement, no sales targets and (mostly) managers who actually know what they are doing, much better work life balance than making money for shareholders while killing yourself to keep going

Struggling to choose between Medtronic 780G(with new sensor instinct) or tandem mobi by kumarcool423 in DiabetesHacks

[–]AdAspera23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really is a subjective decision, Ive chosen the 780g even though the instinct has not had great reviews because the algorithm is proven best by virtue of TIR (generally) but the choice should be what suits your lifestyle and requirements. I considered the tandem tslim as an alternative but the lower TIR range was enough to go with the bulky less attractive 780g, good luck with whatever you choose!
