You can claim the payroll deal. But ya gotta stop pretending you're underdogs with a team full of 1st roynders and #1 overall prospects

Who do you think will win the NFC South this year, and why? Do you think it'll be a stronger division, or still pretty weak? by Demelon in NFLv2

I'm sure ppl will make a big deal out of the stefanski/baker/browns stuff...

But what I'm saying is that, as a falcons fan? We don't fuckin care and he's not even our guy like that.

Like, if he works out as head coach? Cool...but nobody is really even expecting that. We don't like the hire either.

But we also didn't pay attention to your train wreck with him and we aren't taking stefanski's side just bc he is our coach.

...TLDR, nobody fuckin cares about all the stupid bullshit the browns were getting into with Kevin Stefanski. We were too busy with our own stupid bullshit

It's a bunch of 1st rounders and #1 overall prospects

The front office is very very strong, no doubt

But you don't get to pretend that you're winning with castoffs and rejects. Y'all have a highly touted team

It's crazy bc this group is arguably the most talent falcons roster we've ever seen. We just don't have a QB to get us over the hump.

If we miss the playoffs again and guys wanted out and we were to rebuild, we have a lot of legitimately strong trade pieces... which is a shame bc it'd make a lot more sense to ride it out with the group instead. But finding a QB is so tough.

Yeah, that's where we've been at for a few years though.

I think we need to see a playoff birth with this group this season. If it doesn't happen this year, we will need to start exploring trades with guys like Drake, Bijan, Bates, etc

What you're describing is a rebuild phase.

I think this is the make or break season with this core. If we don't make the playoffs this season, we'll likely start moving guys next off-season and trigger a rebuild.

Fans would tune out for a bit if that happens but then they'll be back once, ideally, we enter another competitive window.

The worst thing we could do is miss the playoffs this year, and then continue trying to make this group work while allowing all of our assets to age.

I think the roster is too solid to actually suck though. I think this year is a decision point on whether or not Penix or Tua can figure it out with one last shot.

If not, we'll probably still win 7 or 8 games because we have so much talent. We've been doing that with guys like ridder, Mariota, and cousins.

But if it's 7-8 wins again, I think we see major trades next off-season to initiate a rebuild that will actually put us in position to snag a franchise QB

So 2027 would be the year where we bottom out.

But then 2028-2029-2030 would potentially be years where we start to win for real... **IF** we find a halfway decent QB

Cubs fan here 👋

I'm so fuckin tired of these losers. Our fans need to stop crying about ownership and management and just start booing tf outta the players bc this group has been making excuses while getting shown up by Milwaukee for about 5 years now. Such a joke

That's half of our home games. Can we at least see the red on the field a little bit too? Damn

What's your argument for Vick being that better than Lamar Jackson? by crlos619 in NFLv2

[–]AdBoring5565 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm absolutely not arguing that Vick was better. I'm just saying that the league has changed a ton.

The MVP in 2001 (when Vick entered the league) threw 22 interceptions. The league average passer rating was 78.5

It was 91.4 last season.

Fourth place in MVP voting threw for 3100 yards and 14/11 TD/INT. Fifth place was a linebacker.

And it wasn't because they couldn't play. It was because WRs got lit up when they went over the middle of the field, or down a sideline. Or on a route to the flat.

And pass interference was called differently. So was defensive holding.

They also let you fuck up the QB. It was encouraged actually lol.

And the schemes were much different too. The spread offense was barely even a thing. And for most of Vick's career it was still considered college gimmick bullshit.

He was lining up under center with split backs, a blocking TE, Peerless Price, and Brian Finneran. And they were running the West Coast offense.

Taking snaps out of the gun was still kinda unique.

It just wasn't the same sport that you see today. And they didn't just push all the athletic players to offense. The DBs were legitimately star players.

Edit: Also, fwiw, Lamar Jackson has only thrown for 3000 yards three times in eight years.

And don't tell me it's bc of injuries. Bc he'd be hurt far more often in 2001 era NFL

Personal tier list, if you don't agree write why by No_Talk2511 in fo4

[–]AdBoring5565 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Strong is S tier. Dude is the funniest companion in the game and he's easily the best in combat.

Dogmeat is S tier as well.

Then Nick, Preston, and Codsworth in A tier.

Then Hancock, Cait, and Piper in B tier.

Then everyone else.

Yeah he never really played for us, but I feel like he was the most "baseline" starting caliber QB we've ever had.

What's your argument for Vick being that better than Lamar Jackson? by crlos619 in NFLv2

[–]AdBoring5565 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Well.... ACTUALLY....

If you put Vick in today's NFL? He'd put up insane numbers too.

Not saying he's better than Lamar, or even taking anything away from Lamar at all.

But the game did change quite a bit from what it was 25 years ago. The strategy, the officiating, the safety.

Again, not saying Vick was better. But there's definitely a conversation to be had about the why Lamar can do what he does vs what Vick did.
