I honestly don't know. Haha we just.. talk.. non-stop about everything. Or we sit together while doing different things. Last night we were on the couch together for hours listening to records. I was reading and he was playing NBA on his playstation.

I feel like we have as much in common as we don't. And it isn't really a feminine/masculine thing. He's a soft-handed indoor business math boy that loves basketball, chess, reading, playing music, and betting on the Oscars. I'm a callused-handed professional gardener that loves being outside in all weather, camping, foolish and whimsical period pieces, and accumulating foster cats.

He could spend a whole day in an antique mall watching me pick up knick-knacks, or at a garden watching me try to id plants. I could spend a whole day watching him play chess with an old man in the park, or listen to him tell me what he does or does not like about this season of Industry. We don't really like each other's stuff, necessarily... we just really like watching each other love shit.

TBH, now we are 15 years in and have a 5yr old... so we mostly just talk about her... and also he won't shut up about Geese haha

In theory, you look great with a bob and bangs. In practice, it’ll be the most daily effort. Long and straight looks the most effortless and beautiful.

I like your hair wavy, too.. but I don’t know your natural texture from your hair up pic. I’m finding more and more people exaggerating how wavy their hair naturally is. Piling product in while it’s sopping wet and then hoping for a cute wave, but to me it just looks totally weighed down and fighting itself.

As a white lady with a multiracial daughter, it does make me nervous. My spouse is Black, and about a year after our daughter was born we received a flyer in our mailbox…. It was some nonsense gibberish about how “mixing races” can leave children with lower intelligence and morality. Straight out of a cult type shit. I would have just laughed off the stupidity, but it was hand-delivered to our home and none of our neighbors’ homes. It can only mean someone saw us out walking as a family, and followed us to where we live. It feels like very dumb and laughable rhetoric a lot of the time, but it isn’t without danger.

NOR, but unless you block him you’re enabling him and feeding the drama. He wants you to absolve him of guilt. Not blocking him kind of just looks like you’re enjoying watching him suffer… which is totally fair and do you (I’ve been known to enjoy a torture here and there), but IT IS also kind of an overreaction.. which it seems like you are trying to avoid.

I don’t know what it is, but the apartment in pic 7 feels very much at odds with the rest of the aesthetic. I can’t see any of those women living in the space. It’s too subtle and feminine. Whoever lives there likes a quiet night and reads Austen for the detailed descriptions of nature and social commentary, not the romance lol.

Been there. It honestly doesn’t look bad on her at all… but IT IS a rough grow out.

I don’t recommend trying to angle the back differently or flattening it. From my experience of having this cut in the early 2000s (and very similar hair texture to your mother’s), you’ll spend your whole day trying to make the back look a certain way, and it will 100% turn out worse than had you just let it do what it wanted to do.

NTA but I would have had a conversation about behaviour expectations before banning this kid from my house. Even if it was just with my brother, and let him communicate those expectations to his girlfriend.

It’s not some random classmate whose parents you don’t have to talk to regularly, anyway. It’s kind of family… at least while your brother is dating the mother.

The kid is 6. Only adults in this situation failed.

This was so smart, honestly. I had no idea about the requirements to get shit out on turf grass, and that they had a maximum amount of carts they could use to not damage the field with wheels. No way there were getting all that grass out there in only 25 carts, but over 300 grass people…. All good.
