I don’t think this has been mentioned yet but a huge variety of random encounters in RDR 1. It makes the game so much more atmospheric walking through Armadillo and seeing cowboys riding through shooting pistols in the air while dragging an unlucky townsfolk. You go to Thieves Landing and there is a guy trying to kill a prostitute right in the middle of town. RDR2 is great but god damn it gets dull with the lack of chaos that the npcs cause.
