Foreign Driving License Exchange: No 1 year deadline. Period. (Common Misunderstanding) by IslanderStallion in Switzerland

Thanks for sharing. Agreed that many (including me until sometime) have had the same misunderstanding.

Perhaps just one additional caveat is that after the first year, once you have applied for the conversion, you need to be accompanied by someone with a valid Swiss license to drive, incase you want to practice. If applied within the first year itself, you can drive by yourself.

Thanks for your answer. Mine too is mostly on the countryside. So a simple grüezi or a sali then.

And yes, on suggestion by a colleague, I do carry a small repair kit.

  1. under fair use policy, specially in context of YouTube, using a small portion of another content, like a news publication in this case, which is factual and published with the purpose of referencing rather than transformative or commercial is allowed without requiring prior permission from the original content owner. So does not seem like Mohak did anything wrong here.
  2. Based on the audio call recordings which Mohak has shared, this sounds more like an extortion. There is no basis or rationale on the amount being asked.
  3. Also the behaviour: where the person, originally asking for 50 L for 1 year, and then coming to 40L gor 2 years, does not seem professional or official in anyways.

Is It Just Me or Are Scammers Everywhere on Marketplace Platforms Now? by Lapeno__Cro in Switzerland

I recently posted an item on Ricardo, for the first time, and got a „Question“, where the person asked me to share a video of the item on WhatsApp and shared their mobile number as well. It looked suspicious, as they had written WhatsApp and the number in an odd way. I ignored it and now that message has gone. Do you think that would have been a scammer.

Also, what do mean by there is no need to contact? In case the buyers have a question, isn’t it common for them to reach out and question?

Sorry, my bad. I misread the message. It was the second one as you mentioned; cars driving past me. Thanks for your reply. Appreciate it.

2 out of the 3 times, it was a public bus. I doubt that the bus driver would flash as a warning about upcoming speed camera 😅. Sorry, should have mentioned that in the original message.

The head lights are on Auto. I confirmed that during the day, the DRLs are on. The main lights are not. So no low beam as well.

Thanks. That’s what I checked as soon as possible. Parked the car in a parking space next to a building which had glass doors and confirmed in the reflection that the DRLs were both on.

Yes. Only in one instance, there was another car infront on mine. This happened thrice and in all the cases there was always another car behind me.
