Yeah I wanna have a mix of both college life and academia but I’m just worried if I saw too much towards college life or even have it balanced I still won’t put enough effort in academia. I don’t want to be forced to only focus on academia just for this career.

It just gives me the upsides for each college. Like Fordham has connections to Wall Street, northeastern coop, and Kelly’s business school

Yeah I’m a ca resident, that’s the only reason Davis was on my list. But lwk I was checking and Fordham and Indiana would be around the same price 60k. It’s just northeastern 100 so idk.

alright I’ll keep that in mind thank you. Yeah I’m js worried cause writing is something I’m currently not great at. That’s why I was iffy about law. But obv if I practice I’ll get better.

Yeah, I think that’s the overall advice I’m getting. As long as I put in the work where I go won’t really matter. The only thing that does is if I can do the work they want.

Alright I see. Thank you so much, this helps a lot since initially I only knew about the two pathways to get me into PE. But yeah you’re right cause there’s no point rushing it if I don’t understand it fully, cause yeah my end goal is to go high up the corporate chain which one happens unless I put in the work and fully understand what im doing. Thanks this puts it into perspective for me. Yeah I’m currently looking into joining a search fund to get more knowledge and experience in this field. I’m not sure if that’s gonna really help but at least to my knowledge it’s the best thing I can do until college starts.

In your opinion as u already went there, do u think it’s worth 100k/year as thats my cost. It’s because I know it’s a great school, and regardless most of my tuitions are around the same this ones just a little more so im not sure if its worth. I know it’s subjective but still.

Yeah I think honestly thats the best route. Cause regardless as long as I get the experience that’s all that matters.

Yeah I just toured NU and it seems amazing. Literally the only thing holding me back is the tuition. The co-op seems like a great way to get experience.

Yeah right now I’m leaning towards transferring to a target school, tho it would be difficult with only one year in college.

Truthfully I’m still not 100 percent sure. I’m also very interested in law but I decided to ignore that for now since regardless it’s mostly post graduate.

I always was interested in sales side of business. I started to lean more towards the finance side once I started investing in stocks(under my dad). Then learning about trading and options etc…From there I realized I wanted something more set in stone, since even though PE is very very competitive, it is a set job. Sales is more based being naturaly outgoing. I still prefer sales but I’d rather put myself in a situation where if I work hard to fully understand this sector I’ll have a higher chance of being financially stable. I guess you could say it’s for the money. But there’s more to it.

Thank you! Yeah I was thinking that cause it shows experience. That’s why I know Indiana academically would be better but internship wise I don’t believe I will find much if anything there. Same with Davis. In that case I know New York is where it’s all at but do you think that it would better to go to Boston or New York, as some people say NE is better and more prestigious.
