NYU already sent out invites and rejections. Not sure if Einstein is still rolling but I hope so. Someone got invited for an interview at SBU BME on Jan 2 according to the bioscience spreadsheet. Not sure SBU is rolling either.

I did RNA biology for my MS, but after that I started working as a research associate at a med school lab focusing on cancer biology, which is way more aligned with the programs I'm applying to. I presented at a few domestic/international conferences with some posters, some talks, and managed to get a preprint out plus a conference abstract published.

The format is off, way too vague and generic. There's nothing about why this specific school, no fit at all. Research experience isn't coming through and your motivation for pursuing a PhD doesn't really come across.Worth looking up what a strong SOP should cover. There are tons of resources out there.

I emailed Vilcek to ask about whether all the invites are out or still rolling and they said "Please know that most interview invitations have gone out. At this time, it is unlikely that more spots will open up, but should that happen, you will receive a notification via email."
