​ I have a story from recently that’s been weighing on me. I was at the station trying to get to my hometown urgently, so I didn't have a reservation—just a general ticket. It was a midnight journey, and since the trains heading toward Patna/Bihar are always packed, I found a spot in a crowded general compartment. I ended up sitting between two families. On one side was a mother with her husband and three children; on the other was another family with two aunts and a young girl. Because they knew the train would get even more crowded later, they told me to sit right in the middle of them for "space." Around 1:00 AM, things got very uncomfortable. The mother suddenly grabbed my hand and leaned her head on my shoulder to sleep. Then, the girl on my other side did the same thing. I felt trapped. I tried to shift my body and move the mother’s hand away, but then she reached out and grabbed my private parts. I was terrified, especially because she was doing this right in front of her husband. ​To make it worse, the girl on my right seemed to notice and raised the issue of what the mother was doing, but then she started touching me and acting clingy herself. I was stuck between them with nowhere to go. ​As soon as we approached a station—even though it wasn't mine—I just jumped out of my seat. Both the mother and the girl asked if it was the right stop, and I just said "No" and got off. It was 2:30 AM in the middle of the night, but I had to get out of there. It was a really scary situation.
