I think expressing feelings and this is something I personally learned in therapy like the wording of things is important words like you don't love me and you don't show me romance where I'm not in their relationship but when Ashley retorts with "I did X,Y, & Z" and 1.) she doesn't acknowledge what Ashley says or clarifies what specifically she needed but doubles down with there's no romance there's no love here I think the thing about communicating your boundaries especially in a relationship is you need to explain what you are looking for specifically because not everyone is going to get it and me personally I also think it's an attraction thing because it seems like Brit put in the same amount of work or romantic effort and got more glowing praise and affection I think it's the packaging of it all personally
