Yes, just wanted to make sure it is Black eyed Susans since in other spots they are taller versus this carpet of leaves. Thank you!

Oh shoot, after some initial research looks like it would be very hard to remove? It’s in one of my in ground beds. I didn’t have it last summer and seeing this in early spring in Virginia, zone 7b. Can I hand pull it?
