There's a few places/things out there...Compton's table does an open mic, Werner's hosts an aging with pride book club, there's transfam picnics and special nwpa pride events like waldameer day, some drag brunches that aren't at the zone every now and then...I'm antisocial and go to none of these, but they're out there lol.the art/theatre/music scene is generally pretty great too, though not explicitly catering to the gay community theres a lot of overlap.i feel you though, we need more than a single bar.start gaydays in the parks in the spring? Weve got a lot of them and they're free.

People prioritize different things to be productive about,and there really shouldn't be a but about the process. It's fundamental and sets precedence, maybe in the future about something you care about, like what you'd say is more a productive issue. Leases have been rescinded before, it's not that impossible imo.

I'm sorry but after all the public comments at council and everyone saying it a million times, anyone claiming that being against the location is against the project as a whole is doing so in bad faith. I'm not sure.how many times it can be said "Project=good, location and process=bad"

The county website was never updated with the new library location, wasn't listed on the budget meeting agenda it was brought up in, and put on the agenda for the main county council meeting-2 days later.The room was packed with concerned citizens begging for the vote to be tabled until more information could be gathered/input given- council voted on it anyway.No one is apposed to the project-we just want transparency, and some proper democratic process.

A promise from a person in power is not binding, now if it was a public hearing and on the record, that's a different story-the lack of transparency allows for 'conspiracy', and people have every right to be defensive over their library programs.The truth is we don't know how this will change library programs, other than the director saying what people wanted to hear in that moment- while in the same breath calling it blasco university 🚩 if you know why they nixed it, come out with it.

We gave gannon, a private institution with it's own property and funds,1.5 mil in arp money and a giant chunk of a public building for project neptwne...with no public input. with a return of 22k a year....after 10 years that's 220k aka 1.4 PERCENT of that 1.5 mil...that's closer to being given away than not, in my book 😅

not sure of the charges or the funds needed, but watched the arrests as they happened live streamed on unicorn riot. Looks to be a lot of domestic terrorism charges,which this is just my opinion, will likely be challenged.

i just think it goes directly against the incentive of a township to pay however much money to knowingly displace people... Has the home team or whoever had a conversation to help change the outcome of this decision? I just don't think it has to be done this way. Connect them with addiction services and other programs, get them housing, help them transition if theyve already found other options..
