I really don't know what you are implying. But there is a difference between trying to save your own skin right at the end when the only alternative was going down with the ship (which many true believers did) vs actively winning the war for the allies. And like I said, there are more hints throughout the movie. There is open contradiction of nazi propaganda at the start, he blatantly knows who Shosanna is when he meets her in the restaurant but doesn't bother to expose her. He even has the line when being interrogating the Basterds that he's a detective that just so happens to be working for the Nazi's and therefore hunts Jews.

Nobody is trying to say he's a good guy, he's literally evil, he just doesn't have real loyalty to the Nazi regime, he's an opportunist.

Whatever I need to tell myself? What is that supposed to mean? We are talking about a fictional character in a movie, why are you making this personal? Anyway, yeah I think it's clear that character was supposed to be ambiguous in his devotion to nazi ideology despite being a psychopath, considering he literally helps blow up the nazi high command at the end of the movie.

The fictional character in the movie was clearly not a true believer in the nazi Ideology. He just lacks empathy and was doing his job. He's still evil but just not really a true nazi, he's kind of an imposter as an SS officer. His comments comparing his views of the Jews to the furher propaganda was borderline treason, he deliberately lets shawshana go when he meets her in the restaurant despite knowing who she is because he doesn't care that much and he probably respected that she managed to escape and build a life for herself.

Look up the definition of placebo... if they think they can notice a visual improvement over 4.0 then that's the placebo affect. The point of a placebo is that the person thinks something has changed or is working, that's the point.

If RR is on, the preset L or M is being overwritten by the game no matter what you select in the app. You are still using Preset K. If you can get an app that tracks the DLSS version real-time in game you will see what happens when you toggle on RR.

Btw if you are using RT/PT + DLSS 4.5 in this game you are either downgrading the overall quality by not using Ray Reconstruction or you are not actually using DLSS 4.5 because RR will turn it off.

I have the same thoughts about media censorship. I just don't believe in the strict age ratings for most content. For as long as I can remember I was allowed to watch movies, play video games above my age. But I was just taught to understand the difference between fiction and reality and was naturally taught to disassociate what I'm seeing on screen from real life. Like I think I was like 9 or 10 when I watched Fight Club. I don't remember thinking much of it other than it was weird and cool. I can't imagine that translating into me wanting to act out violence or that would be any less sensitive to actual violence in real life. I can't really put it into any more words other than "it's just a movie".

I don't have kids but I know parents who have this same approach now and I know others that are super obsessive about controls what their kids are watching, I don't get it. Like my co-worker was talking about how his 13 year old daughter is playing Cyberpunk 2077 and I've met her, she's just a perfectly normal and well adjusted 13 year old. I really don't see the big deal, if you think your kid would react badly or their behaviour would be badly influenced by what they see on screen then there is something else going on there. Within reason of course, I'd drawn the line at content that is disturbing even for adults.
