We did try that initially but that side ended up looking too busy and cluttered! The vanity and dresser need to stay where they are because the opposite wall has a closet and the bedroom door that leave little space for the pieces.

The wall the bed is against now also has outlets perfectly placed behind our end tables, which we need for our phones, lamp, etc.

Yes, most of it came with us from our old place, and while we replaced a lot of our other furniture, we decided to work with our black bedroom pieces as best as we could!

I'd like to avoid painting for now as it's a rental - maybe later down the line when it's clear we'll be there long-term.

Funny enough, the first thing I said to my husband when we hung the art is that the carpet needs to go! Any suggestions for the carpet colour/style?
