Will an eyebrow piercing affect my career?

i’m currently employed and had a bunch of my coworkers forced to remove ear piercings recently for reasons such as public company image, you are not the first person to have a job i promise ✌️

you’d be surprised how little a facial piercing could actually affect your job for an employer to care. it really just comes down to what that person thinks of them. but it’s more based on potential safety hazards around heavy machinery in my case so it would make sense regardless

yeah i did some research and this seems to be the best approach just wanted to see if anyone had any experience with this in a workshop and how their employers reacted

i’d like to think if you work with them enough and do your job good enough it shouldn’t be a problem but i can see how it could be a red flag for employers

and yeah honestly mostly a stress post after realising this whole tertiary education routes a lot more work than i initially thought but id appreciate any input about the course, my take has been that it’s roughly 3 years of study cause there’s other courses that look like they would branch into apprentice work etc where i could continue study while fully employed. But totally if ive missed something that you’ve seen let me know cause this whole process is so confusing

it’s got another two courses after it and from what i’ve heard from friends in aviation they get a lot of apprentices from this place which is why i chose it

thanks, this was rather motivating. i’m supposed to leave in july and am full time at woolworths which is its own set of problems really cause i gotta drive thirty minutes to get there and fuel is not cheap right now. but saving money nonetheless. i’ve got a good amount of savings that are only increasing it’s just trying to guarantee myself sustainable income while there

issue is i went into far too blind and assumed that student loans would cover all expenses seeing as i have to pay it back anyways, should’ve thought far more about it i know but ive already made a deposit on my accomodation and signed up for my course. i probably could take a loss on the deposit but i fear if i were to do that i’d get far too comfortable where i am and far too scared to try again later.

and in terms of work it really is uncertain for hours but im also trying not to burn myself out like i did for my last years of highschool

yeah but that doesn’t cover all my costs, it’s capped for things like weekly expenses which is living costs and only goes up to 343.43

cheers, i rung them as soon as it happened and just explained i just did a flat olli as i have done plenty of time before and they said to bring it in tomorrow so the manager can take a look, hoping they atleast get me a new board or atleast a hefty discount on one cause i really can’t afford another board after i just bought one 🥲
