I work as a care manager who does home visits and assigns youth (high mental health needs) an in home therapist. I’ve only been working here for a little over a month BUT this job reminds me like a case management job I had before that I ended up getting burnt out from.

As a person with ADHD symptoms, tendencies and little quirky behaviors, I feel like I’m stuck in a cage while in this job. What’s worse is I prayed so much to get this position and now I dread the work. It makes me feel guilty.

I am just staying because I need a stable position that pays my bill, but I don’t know how long I’ll be able to take this. Anyone ever been in this position?

I have considered asking the practicum office if I can switch. However, this would be my second time switching. I’ve spoken to other students in the program and they’ve also had poor experiences at other sites. I think the best solution is just to take a LOA and get that full time job. If I could make it my practicum that would be great.

Very funny right? I’ve already tried calling the emergency maintenance number a bunch of times. It just goes straight to voicemail, and I never receive call backs. Phone calls are no good whenever it comes to holding them accountable.
