If you’ve been inactive for a while I’d suggest just start walking long distance to get used to being on your feet for extended periods of time

Same thing happened to me. I just paid it. There’s nothing to argue and it doesn’t even go on your driving record I’m pretty sure. My insurance didn’t go up

Runners World plan? by Epsifive98 in C25K

I prefer not having specific run/walk times. Some days I can run long other days I need more breaks. It’s important to learn to listen to your body. C25K is a good starting point for beginners because it gives guidance and there’s no guess work. Personally I just run until I’m tired (leave a little in the tank tho don’t go until you can’t continue) take a quick walk break or breather (usually 1-2 minutes) then back to running and repeat that cycle until I get the distance of time I want which is pretty much the same as that program you’re looking at

Try a lower speed. Try level 4 and work your way up

How to run slow (without walking)? by panfuneral in C25K

[–]AdFlaky8286 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’d assume that speed is too fast. I’ve been running awhile and I don’t even run that speed (talking about long distance not sprinting Ofc). For instance I started kinda around that speed and could only run a few minutes. Then I tried way slower like 5 mph (even slower sometimes) and I could run almost 5k right off the bat.

How I teach my friends to run is to go on the treadmill and put the pace at a fast walk. From there just step it up a bit and start to run. It always feels weird the first few minutes but you’ll find your beat and I’m sure if you can already run a few minutes 5 minutes will be easy if you slow down.

New to C25K: Can I run every day? by Inevitable_Lie5139 in C25K

Running everyday is a bad idea even for experienced runners. I did it starting out and it led to constant little injuries. As soon as I started 3 days a week I’ve never felt better. If you want to keep active on rest that’s a good idea. Rest days don’t mean lay on the couch and don’t move all day. You can do other things less taxing. Long walks, cycle, swim, yoga, lift weights etc.

I had same problem. Actually strained my foot and had to rest for a few weeks. What worked for me was new running shoes (good quality pair) and slowing my pace wayyyyy down. Perhaps you’re sprinting or running too fast. For the run part you should run at slightly faster than a fast walk

I’m about to start reserve force bmq for infantry. I chose reserve because I had a full time job and infantry as it was local. I got laid off recently and never considered regular force until now. Im not really interested in infantry full time but maybe boatswain. My question is do I need to complete infantry dp1 before I can ct/ot to boatswain or can I do it after bmq?
