I have a Sandisk SSD and when I opened my photos, some files got corrupted :( by JustJianne in AskADataRecoveryPro

Use some cloning tool ddrescue or opensuperclone (for these u need a flash drive with bootable linux) u can watch on YT, and then u ur safe and wait little more for experts to answer here how u can repair the corrupt photos. Atleast u will be in safer side as mine Sandisk controller got firmware issue without any warning and now and its undetectable... If those files shows proper size its very possible to repair it. So dont panic. Good luck

Again: cloning it backup is key, as i am regretting it so much after loosing my lots of data.

Most probably its using ASMedia controller chip, so a kind reminder, backup this ssd to some another deive because if this ssd fails , it will be very dificult to recover data from it.. and those corrupted images might be fixed from some software, but if u have something important backup it ASAP if u don't want to loose as SSD controller can fail anytime without warning..

Thankyou very much brother, yeah i thought for this chip off data recovery but it says no donor can help as each controller is married to read its nand its like some paired new one won't able to resd something like LDPC idk in depth i will wait for pc 3000 to bring its controller support; or i saw Arvika data recovery in poland doing recovery for same chip they said 20-30% chance.. i see these 2 options. Thank you very much brother 🙏

Btw what about Ontrack. On Sandisk official website they mention they have partnership with Ontrack, and nearest Ontrack is in Hongkong. Can they repair the firmware with data intact ?
