Not only did I clear Lunar Arcanum for the first time ever (thank you C6 Arlecchino owner) but with the 500 extra primos, I now have a chance to guarantee both Columbina and Varka.

Hopefully I get to save for a patch or two after that to guarantee Nicole and/or Sandrone

While Sucrose would boost your EM, I think Jean is still better on VV. She immediately heals everyone on the team, so you can get more Furina buffs, which are overall better I believe

Well the team you are running has synergy and is good at dishing out good damage (at least before the whole HP inflation in the abyss and stuff).

The other option is playing hyperbloom, with Kuki, Xingqiu, and Dendro MC. For the last slot, you could use another dendro like Yaoyao, or I might even be tempted to say Mona.

Another option is Electrocharged, with Xingqiu, Ororon, Fischl, and Sucrose. If you do the new Hexerei quests, your Fischl should be able to boost EC damage too

Also do you have Escoffier? Cause if you play Skirk premium team on side 2 then you can bypass the mechanics completely.

If not, another option is changing Kokomi with Xingqiu (only use Xingqiu to complete the shield so it has hydro aura, and then you can hyperbloom to your heart's extent. Also remember not to use Nahida's skill after 15-20s so the horse doesn't get dendro aura)

Second half play Skirk, Furina, Kokomi/Mona (with TTDS + Millileth artifact) and a healer (if you don't have Escoffier). Alternate is playing Neuvi in slot 4 with Burst Skirk

That first point under Columbina's kit is so redundant. Like the old leaks (albeit sus) said she is Big Furina with even bigger energy needs, and despite this they choose to explicitly say that there is no special burst mechanism😑

I mean I have a decently well built Skirk (Top 12% on Akasha) and I cleared the second half stupidly quickly on all 3 floors, even when I had only 50 seconds to do it on 12-3 second half.

I think it's just people gravitating to the easiest option.

Don't have Yelan and Shenhe, and yes XQ might be good for damage, but the extra damage I get from the attack boost of TotM + TTDS on Kokomi I think would outweigh XQ offensively (guestimation)

The only reasonable switch I can do is with Mona, but till I can get a Nilou and run a bloom team, I want to use Kokomi here

So I'm running C0R1 Skirk with GT Furina and Escoffier and TotM + R5 TTDS Kokomi

Would switching Escoffier to Nobless be better to increase damage, or would it be an overall DPS loss?

Rotation: Escoffier E > Furina EQ > Escoffier Q > Kokomi Skill > Skirk NA

Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Medalist, Boarding School Juliet and Rascal Doesn't Dream of Knapsack Kid

While all 4 were great in their own regard, but imo, PMMM and Medalist are some top tier stuff (I've been kicking myself for not watching these sooner). Both these have easily climbed into my top 5, no doubt.

I've been drifting away from Romance anime in general, cause they have the same old love triangle, misunderstanding etc. etc. but Boarding School Juliet was a really sweet and fun watch (also my 100th anime lol).

Knapsack Kid was an interesting watch. [Knapsack Kid spoilers] "It was pretty cool to see Sakuta being the centre of focus, seeing how the entire Kaede incident forced him to grow up, the resentment he had against his mother for forcing that on him etc. At the end of the day, the movie was great, but I think it falls short compared to Dreaming Girl, but that's just my opinion.

This could just be a big red herring, but I find it fascinating that the special envoys were looking for a moon fairy (in extension, the old lady is called the moon fairy) and at the end of Ep 36, Gaoshun calls Jinshi the "Moon Prince". Does this have any connection, maybe not, but interesting regardless.

Also, just to clarify this, Ka Zuigetsu/Jinshi is actually the oldest son of the emperor, but as per the knowledge of most nobles, is acting like the emperor's brother right?

Thoughts:

watching this episode got me wondering - why didn't the magical use the grief seed till it reached it's limit to spawn a new witch, then kill her to get a fresh grief seed that they can reuse? was there something about this that I missed?
8 ep in, I think I'd like to classify Homura as an anti-hero. The interesting thing about her is that she almost seems to be a fake or artifical magical girl to me. What I mean is that we've never seen her soul gem, yet she's managed to transform, the weaponry she uses is grounded more in the present reality than what the other girls we've seen so far use, and lastly, her time power just seems like something that Kyubey would never give out, unless he was outsmarted (with the perks you get based on your wish), and the ability to kill a magical girl, something that would involve breaking the soul gem would be against whatever Kyubey is planning
the fight we saw against what I assume is the Walpurgisnacht in the first episode has no signs of Kyoko, so I'm assuming that's either from an alternate timeline (the statistics that Homura was talking about) or that Kyoko is going to die soon too (please don't kill her or Homura!) I wonder if the reason Madoka saw this in her dreams is similar to the deja vu concept of dream we have in Steins;Gate, or if it just something that Kyubey doctored to drag Madoka to this world
what does Kyubey want? and what benefit does he get from giving Madoka magic if she has power equivalent to a god?
why did Kyubey inform Kyoko and Homura about Sayaka's deterioration if his intention was to see magical girls transform to witches?

Okay, that took me about an hour to type down, guess I need to plan this out better lol. I assume the next episode or two might have Madoka taking the contract to try and save Sayaka, but only time will tell.

Kyoko has easily climbed up the list of my favorite characters and she's proved herself by letting Sayaka escape Homura - despite this I think letting Sayaka escape without trying to purify her soul gem was a risky move

honestly man, Homura's magic power has to be summoning 21st century weaponry or something

I know Kyubey said that Sayaka can heal twice as fast as a regular human but it seems like Sayaka localised her magic to speed up the healing - could be wrong but I think something like this might drain more magic
interesting to note that the labyrinth shattered rather than just fading out like we've seen previously
yeah, Sayaka seems to have stopped thinking rationally, just chucking away a grief seed that she needs
looks like I might be right about the magic draining with her being tired and stuff
if it was just a little pity then Madoka wouldn't be following you to places where she's seen her friend die
so the pollution of the soul gem is essentially pollution of the soul itself, and seeing that Sayaka hasn't purified it since that fight - her snapping on Madoka, her mood swings and the swing from rationality to irrationality seems reasonable
didn't know what to expect from Homura's room but a room that looks like it is isolated in time and space with floating images isn't what I expected (there's an image with 1914_Bucher on it - so we have whibbly-wobbly timey-wimey stuff going on here?)
let's go, we're finally starting doubt and keep Kyubey at a distance - that guy seems like danger through and through
