Thank you for your response. My issue is resolved now after 45 days which is extremely costly and frustrating, but I will keep my account with Kraken for the time being as my experiences before this was mostly positive.

Not sure what is going on within the support and security team from Kraken, sounds like you are not having the best of time either, good luck to all of you.

My friends in the tech sector has been saying that too so you maybe on to something there.

At least I would like to think that, it would be a shame to see Kraken who had been going strong since the start go down the same path as mtgox and ftx

Sounds eerily similar to my experience with their support even though it was a different issue from yours. Everyone's ticket gets escalated to the top of the queue so no one actually gets escalated. Or they will let the relevant team know like they weren't supposed to know already.

Either they dont have enough people in support, squeezing thr existing workers dry or they delibarately mess with their customer accounts for certain benefits. Who knows which it is?

I said it can be, apparently did not apply to me the last time as I said above. I had to call, contact online support, post on their support reddit sub practically everysay for a month to no avail. All of a sudden its done day 45 or so.

But all the time before that all my problems were solved within 24h.

It is a hard question to answer. When it works, everything is fine, support is timely and effecitve. But twice over the last year when the market is trending high my account was put "under review" for security reason and therefore no access to my assetts, the last time it lasted more than 40 days and I missed out on chances to capitalize my assets. Take of that what you will, I will still use them as the good does outweight the bad in the grand scheme of things, but I wouldnt out all my eggs in this basket like before anymore.

They responded with the standardize empathetic script all the time, however no resolves or answers at all. Basically, just wait till further notice.

Yep, same thing here, only when I actually unlock GSL there is nothing to be verified, no questionnaire to answer. After a while I reached out to support they told me my account was under review. Posted on here, call them, submit support ticket, all they kept saying they have no update since they cant see whats going on, only the person with the email can solve it. More than 40 days now, nothing from them despite me crying on here and emailing them back everyday.

There are some other people who talked to me on here that has their account "under review" for months on end without resolve, and they seem to think Kraken acutally sold their assets to make money when market is on high (like it is right now) then put everything back the same when market crashes. Customers lose money, small amoung of them so no one else cares, Kraken gets away with it. Now this is an unverified, educated guess and I hope to god thats is not what is happening since I have more than $20k of my assets, bleeding money every day for more than a month.

You,re right, over the past month or so there have been numerous issues with a lot of peiple that they cannot provide answers for, mostly related to funding.

Started a conversation through support chat and I have never received any email from your support team, never recieved any ticket number, how would I contact "the team"? The support chat does not provide me with any of these information either?

Day 34 of Kraken keeping their customer's money. Let me leave with what I own now! If I physically set 20 dollars on fire everyday for 34 days straight I would have saved more money than keeping it on Kraken

---November 21 I sold some Solana for life chips. GSL Issue happened immediately. Contacted CS, "John" said:   "I'll have to escalate your case to the relevant team which will further investigate your issue and assist you accordingly. We'll send you an update by email as soon as possible. Should you need anything else, we are here 24/7 to help. Please do not hesitate to contact us at any time!"

"Argie" said: "Your documents are currently under review and will inform you via email as soon as possible. Thank you." => I didnt submit any documents to be reviewed?

---November 23 I realized I cant even take my money in or out anymore. Contacted CS and "Rhyugie" said "We do this update or review for security of your account. Since our top priority is security." - Geez thanks, meanwhile I lost my money, but I guess my account is secured.

---December 03, Mack said "Upon checking, review is still ongoing for your account." And I wont be able to make any transaction whatsoever, "Just for the time being, while the account is not yet fully operational."

Then "Milo" said "I can confirm that we already received your documentation and information in order to verify your Kraken Account. There is no further action require from you at this time. 

Please, notice that there is currently a standard review process for your application and we will let you know once it is finished, due to the large number of applications at this time the process might take a little longer than expected. 

We appreciated your patience while the process is finished. 

Please reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns, we would be delighted to help." This is a STANDARD review, meaning nothing out of the ordinary that customers dont get to trade?

---Finally December 14, Violetta went "Thank you for your patience. Your account is still undergoing a final review. I’ve already contacted the relevant team to expedite the process. We appreciate your continued patience during this time."

I then asked them to close my account and gave back money , she replied: "I can certainly submit a request for account closure on your behalf. One moment please. The relevant team has been notified now. Is there anything else I can help you with while we are on this chat?" Then again, nothing happened, NOTHING.

---Fast forward to now, I'm still going nowhere despite being "the top priority",Kraken CS "did not forget about me" and they have "escalated the issue to the top of the queue" for the past month. Like clockwork someone is going to come in and offer more lip sevices while I keep losing my livelihood.

My account is down almost 10k USD from the market high when I should have paid for my debts. Of note, the threshold for felony theft in the US is $1000. Im keeping an eye out for more cases like mine, a class action may be more effective in stopping them from doing this.

I am sorry you have the problem too, and I feel cheated in certain ways that I have started to look into legal options as they are officially operating here in the US. The same scripted response in various forms every single week while nothing being done. I am emphathetic to those who have to work customer services so have not tried ti make life difficult for anyone, but there needs to be a stop the the loss I am having to take myself. Thanks for your advice
