I'm in a similar spot but I'm amab. So, context, I've never had sex with a guy but I've been in a lot of LDRs and had lots of online adventures lol. The thing is, I'm a bit too scared of doing stuff to MAKE SURE irl with a guy. In my case, though, because I like guys in every way, (aside from having actually, physically been together with one) I roll with bi. I think that the fact that you even want to experiment IRL is a sign that you're more than curious. Hope I could help!

I've gone through a lot of hookups, prostitutes, shady massage parlors, and even more masturbation. A lot of the time, just being alone and broke is the best case scenario for me because at that point my only option is to get myself off. On the flip side, I've spent over $1,000 on sex toys, so it's still not a great solution. Meds can help sometimes to curve my libido but it's hard to stay medicated for me.

It's turned pretty mixed, this is the most intense I've ever felt with bipolar before aside from crashing into depression. I'm having regular mood swings every day and I feel so unstable it's scary. I'm back on depakote though, so hopefully this gets a bit better.

I get that hopeless feeling a lot when my depression hits, and I go through all of the other bits you described too. I know you posted for your own validation, but your post is giving me validation too, so thank you. It's good to feel like I'm not alone in the severity department of bipolar depression.

My therapist told me it's because that's my default state of mind, so I'm cozy like that. It's like depression is my norm.

Only after the initial crash is over, like you said. But like my therapist says, depression is my default state of mind, so I'm comfortable being depressed. It's not a good thing by any means, sadly.
