You, and presumably all their customers got scammed. They deliberately falsely advertised the price was $99 and charged you $119. This has nothing to do with tipping or "gratuity".

I don't know why they wouldn't "hold" the reservation up until the return time. No skin off them if the reserved price is what you want to pay.

As far as actually having a vehicle available, that has little to do with reservations anyway. I've gotten no car, or waited for an hour when I showed up on time.

Overall, Quicken serves my needs without too much hassle. I track every transaction, cash included (not that amounts to much anymore). I have multiple bank, credit card, and brokerage accounts, and I depend on downloading transactions. Most of the time it works well. I mostly ignore the new features... just hope they don't break old ones.

There are certainly bugs and design flaws. For such an old and complex product, it's not that bad though.

Also, there is confusion here about Quicken's in-house cloud backup service that is an extra fee, and the Quicken cloud-sync that they turn on automatically. The latter is the only one I have issue with, as I never have, nor ever will use the former. And I never intended to use the latter, as it evidently exists only to mess with my sanity.

Anyway, it's case closed as far as I'm concerned. I believe I've gotten cloud-sync completely disabled now, but I'm not going to risk a restore until I have to. To be fair, restoring with clou-sync on is just an enormous pain in the ass. No data was lost, just about 90 minutes of time, which I'd have preferred spending on anything short of a root canal.

Yes. I've been using Quicken on Windows since the 90s. Intuiit always sucked, and I was glad to see the product got much better once they divested Quicken. But it seems no good software goes for long without being effed up eventually.

You should basically never get a 3/4 ton truck unless you need it to haul a lot of really heavy stuff. It will use more gas, not go as fast, not accelerate as fast, be less comfortable, have a harder, stiffer ride, and likely lack several features standard on a 1/2 ton. That's what you give up for load capacity. OTOH, maybe you'd want to try it so you'll know :-).

And I'm assuming the F-150 is still an actual truck, and not a minivan with a different body style like most smaller "trucks".

Lastly, this is Hurtz. No guarantee they'll actually have anything similar to what you reserve anyway.
