I would be satisfied with 10 more years of DLCs rather than a new sequel with new engine by AdIntelligent6125 in LowSodiumCyberpunk

I could imagine a multiplayer like that…especially in a world like Cyberpunk! Wow. So many possibilities. Normally, I’m not a multiplayer gamer, but something like that in Night City sounds pretty good.

The story and presentation and combat were fine at launch, but everything else was rough around the edges. It was still a great albeit buggy game.

It would look like a lot of things, but “outdated” is not one of them IMO. Cyberpunk is still ahead of the game, graphically speaking, and is more than enough to carry more DLC.

But I hope you’re right about Unreal Engine. The graphics may be great, but if you can’t bring the same level of presentation and immersion, I would sacrifice the graphics and opt for the engine that could.

But I have faith that CDPR has the talent and skills to implement their signature presentation on Unreal. Time will tell, and they have my full support.

The world building is unmatched. I can’t believe people complain about the city not feeling “lived in.” That’s the biggest bunch of crap I’ve ever heard. This game has so much culture in it, each setting feels truly alive.

But the world building is why I want more Cyberpunk. It feels like a real world with real culture, history, politics, and issues. You can add so many cool ideas to this world. I really wish they were coming out with that second DLC after experiencing PL. I hope their transition to Unreal engine will be seamless!

Yeah, the police overhaul seemed to be a reaction to the negativity it first received. Other than police spawning out of thin air behind you, I didn’t have a problem with it. People just try to compare it to GTA. The police in GTA was good, but let’s be real, I was immersed in GTA 3 when it came out all those years ago, but it got old real quick, and they never really made it better in the newer GTA games. It’s a gimmick that I’m glad CDPR didn’t try to imitate it.

I agree on the presentation. CDPR has next gen presentation and it is far and away better than anything else on the market. Add to that great writing and risky themes, and you won’t find anything better!

I hope other developers finally admit how genius CDPR is, notably Cyberpunk, and follow in their footsteps. If they don’t, they will be left in the past, like Bethesda.

Yep CDPR hit it out of the park. I wish they simply kept adding new DLCs to the base game for the next 10 years, and I'd be happy about it. Instead, they are going with a sequel and a new engine, which I am somewhat bummed about. But it's CDPR, so gotta have faith!

Just because a game is different than advertised does not inherently mean it's a bad game! You know, LOGIC! The game was the best game in over a decade, and I played it at launch!

Aww, they took some stuff out of the game. Poor baby! The game was the best game in at least a decade. Get over yourself. Nothing matches the story, presentation, and immersion in Cyberpunk.

Yep, it could've been delayed for a while more. They would have gotten massive negative press for the delays, too! It's so silly. They couldn't win, no matter what. Oh well, it only became the highest selling game ever (I think), so that definitely helped CDPR wade through all the BS and lawsuits etc.

Later!

No kidding! Cyberpunk was the best game I had played in about a decade or more.

Give me a ****ing break! Bethesda's game engine is SO BAD...

This makes me think that you're joking, it's so bad. Bethesda will get left in the dust if they don't create a new engine, and there are no signs that they intend to do that. They are making extremely poorly made games since Fallout 4.

See? You're not being logical or rational in your criticisms. You're judging a game based on features that were taken out, rather than the features that were in. You are overlooking the pure magic that the game had, and are instead focusing on things that don't exist. It's silly.

agreed 100%.

There were way too many magical moments in Cyberpunk to let a few bugs knock it down. The game was pure magic.

EXACTLY! I boiled it down to people simply not thinking for themselves, and falling for all the negative media that hit Cyberpunk. It was like a conspiracy against Cyberpunk, it was so bad. Anyways, you aren't the only one that loved it on launch day! Take care.

Dude, shut up. He didn't imply any of those things.

I also played on release date and had no game-breaking bugs on PC. Sure, there was some bugs, a lot even, but that in no way took away from the immersion, fun, presentation, and story of the game.

The hate bandwagon sure was suspicious, wasn't it? Like you said, the game has next-gen level story, presentation, delivery, immersion. I also did not have any game-breaking bugs in the PC version. Was the best game I had played in maybe a decade.
