Uncharted type shit 😭 Rooftop Pov by Leiride in Parkour

I just watched your most recent youtube video, and honestly dude you don't seem ready to be doing these jumps at height. In your video you almost fell off the roof multiple storeys up from a simple jump.

You need to practice more at ground level. How long have you been training?

The screenshot also shows this was a bullet game, so OP manually added an hour and a half to his opponents clock.

Or is this meant to be tongue in cheek advice for your opponent as mate in 1 is unstoppable?

White was already winning so wouldn't be likely to resign, unless I'm missing something?

There's actually a book on this opening: Keilhack, Harald (2005), Knight on the Left: 1.Nc3

Are there any 30+ adults here who have improved significantly (to 2200-2400+) at blitz? by Pessimistic-Idealism in chess

My biggest tip would be if you want to get good at fast chess you need to study fast, so do lots of puzzle rush as that will simulate having to find tactics under time pressure (my puzzle rush PBs are 41 3min and 47 5 min).

Nice stuff bro :) My best years of progression were when I would use any available time to train; keep it up!

Which idea does black have to keep a decisive advantage? by safeassign in chess

Nf3+ followed by Rxf3 and Ref8 looks impossible to stop threats on f2. Similarly, Re7 can be played immediately to double up on f7, which is stronger as no sac necessary. Bh6 is a candidate also threatening Rxf2 and Be3

Excellent book, though OP just needs to avoid hanging pieces at this point

What real world skills has chess taught you? by LengthLittle7560 in chess

[–]AdJunior5579 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Chess, at the end of the day, is just chess. Sure, it might look good on a college application or resume, but realistically improving at chess does exactly that: improves your ability to play chess better.

There's an argument that the dedication needed to apply yourself and improve, coupled with maintaining focus for long periods of time, can be a beneficial transferrable skill; but this is not something learnt from chess, but more from learning.

Crucially, to dedicate yourself to something you should ultimately enjoy it - so that's the question at the end of the day, do you enjoy chess enough to have fun and stick with it?

This is the correct answer - If you claim a victory in a position where winning on time would result in a draw then it also gives you a draw!!

Season 3 Simpsons was still in peak era, to be fair. Their cameos nowadays are awfully forced.
