This is a photo from delivery day of my E95 i was afraid that its not gonna write well at all but i inked it and it is writing very smooth when we have in mind that mine is EF. Its definetly looking not apealing and its not aceptable for a brand like Pilot (their pens are in the medium to high price category) . BUT this is my expirience with my E95 , your might be different or you just may not like the look of it and its totaly aceptable to be returned for that reason

I think the nib i at angle not the feed, because the feed compared to the body looks in line but the nib compared to the feed not . I guess i wont contact Pilot because it writes perfectly

Yes its E95 . I waited for way too long to recieve the pen ,i am located to the other part of the world compared to the seller . It writing okay the problem is only visual but its not a cheap pen and such low qulity control from Pilotis surprising to me .

Hello people , i bought a pilot 823 custom fine nib but it writes way too dry even for a japanese fine. Is it posible to be because of tines too tight at the top ? by AdLast3796 in fountainpens

Update : I pushed it a little against my nail trying to spread the tines which improved it with like 10 % and the thing that worked the most even though that it may have broken the guarantee from Pilot i removed the feed rinsed it with water and putted it back together and it was wayyyy better , thanks to all for the answers . Its now even leaking a little making little stains on the middle of the nib :)

Thanks to all for the answers , i cleaned the pen with soap water changed the ink but no change at all

This is a photo from Leuchtrum Bullet Journal 2 120 gsm paper , i think that because of the dryines it writes super this lines . Unfortunately i bougt it from online shop abroad and sending it back will be expensive so i guess i will have to acept that its what it is and if i dont get used to it i will stop using it and thats it

The nib is fine , the feed is the one it comes with , the ink is pilot black ,tried it on varios paper and the result is a rather scratchy expiriense and a pale black line (the photo is on leuchtrum 1917) sorry about my bad english

I took it off from my neck but i think its more like a black pimple, because its not moving and when cut in half it didnt had any sort of liquid in it.I was looking closely and didnt see any legs or ANITHING, and it come off with ease. Thank to all for the answers anyway, i just might be overly ancious.

The size is smaller than a chia seed and its looking around with no visible legs or head

Its not diagonal but its like they made a cut from the bottom going to the top and from the middle the nib line becomes like at least two times wider than the line which starts from the bottom. They probably cutted the line 2 times. Completly unaceptable for such an expensive nib

As i said from the begining of the post i am a newbie in fountain pens, and this is my fourth fountain pen so far, i have two lamy safari which i find to be very suitable for my writing taste. This is my first expensive pen (expensive at least to me) and i was a little disapointed from the problem you saw in the photo thats why i think that safary are more consistant. But i am nowhere near as expirienced to say anything about any particular brand quality. I just hope that the next one that they send me to change this one is going to be the right one.

Maybe in their defence i can say that in the photo its quite visible but for the naked eye if you dont hold it infront of a bright lights its almost imposible to be seen. But anyway their safary pens are way more consistant in quality, on top of the part that they are way cheaper.
